3 Reasons Hallmark Movies Are the Best Part of the Holidays

During the holiday season people get excited for things like the food and music. And even though I enjoy those aspects of this season, I will forever be addicted to Hallmark movies. They are cheesy, cliche, and sometimes downright dumb. But these factors are what make the movies so irresistible. They all be predictable holiday romances, but I have three reason for why I love Hallmark movies.

1. Relationships Goals

Is the plot very unrealistic? Maybe.... but it still does make you feel all warm inside when you see the couple you have been rooting for share a special moment. I know that I a very sentimental person, but seeing these stories play out makes me want to be these characters. Even though my life may not become a reall\ life Hallmark movie, I will always wish for it every Christmas.

2. Comfort

There is just something so soothing about a Hallmark movie. The plots are so easy and simple that you can relax while enjoying one of these cliche movies. Plus, the spirit of Christmas that these movies preach only lifts your mood. You can never stay mad when watching a Hallmark movie. Whenever I'm having a bad time during the Holiday season, a Hallmark movie is the perfect cure.

3. Tradition

These movies have been going on for years. And every Christmas time I make it my mission to watch almost all of the new ones. This tradition is what makes my holiday season. They may be problematic, annoying or boring at times but it's the simple fact that I can always rely on them every year that makes them so special.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding.
