I hate Politics, I really do. Any time someone tries to talk politics I quickly change the subject. I find it causes too many fights and so much unneeded drama. I understand you have your opinion and you have every right to express it, but what is the point in of shoving your opinion in someone's face that will not change their mind? It just seems pointless. State your opinion, let them state theirs and move on. They know how you feel, they know your beliefs, and no one loses a friend or family member over it. I have my beliefs, I make them known, but I do not banish others from my life that disagree. Some people are so wrapped up in politics, that I do just find it best to keep my mouth shut, but not today.

I get asked all the time, "who did you vote for?" And I respond, "no one." What!?!? People take it as a personal insult if they hear me tell them I didn't vote. I want people to know it's not because I am lazy, it's not because I do not care about my country, it's not because I forgot, it's not because I didn't have time, it's not because I don't care about what people had to go through to get me the right to vote (I am always thankful for those people!), but I made the conscious decision not to vote in this years election.

Here's why:

1. Yes, I have the right to vote, but I also have the right not to vote.

People always talk about America being a free country and that includes the right to vote. What people do not think about is that being a free country, it also means that I can not be forced to vote. By not voting I am still supersizing my rights as an American citizen. Voting is awesome, I am so happy that we are able to do it in our country, but if I have reasons I do not want to vote, they can't force me to and I think that is still pretty amazing.

2. Did you see who we had running for office.

Maybe if we would have had some better candidates for president I would have been first in line to vote, but this year I did not see how either person would benefit this country. I did not want someone in office that thinks it is okay to kill unborn children and I also did not want someone in office who is a sexist pig. Sorry both options were not good in my book and I did not even see how one was an better than the other. I just can not vote for someone I do not believe in.

3. Don't blame me

Because I did not vote I do not have to put up with the "you voted for them" comment when they screw up. I am positive it will happen and I know I had nothing to do with it when it does.

I love this country I do, and I can not wait until the day I can vote. This election just wasn't one of them. I am sure one day there will be someone I see fit to do this job and I am looking forward to that day.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
