Quarantine has officially been lifted in some states, which means you can finally go outside and hang out with friends, visit your grandparents, and even go eat out at a restaurant -- while still abiding to social distancing guidelines, however. As someone with a high-risk family member, I am still wary about COVID-19 spreading, and I cannot risk getting the virus in fear of infecting my ill family member. Therefore, I will still be staying inside as much as possible, wearing facemasks when I go outside, and taking showers after I get back home. I do miss my friends and family though, and so I will definitely want to visit them and do in-person activities that don't require much contact. Here are some relaxing post-quarantine activities that you can do with your friends and family that will still follow social distancing guidelines!
Frisbee!
Frisbee is a very fun sport to play in an open area, which will help you maintain social distance! The game requires two or more people to throw the frisbee disk back and forth. If you have enough people, playing ultimate frisbee would make for a rigorous outdoor activity with friends and family.
Drawing with chalk!
It's time to show off your art! Drawing on pavements or streets with chalk is such a fun and creative activity to do. You can write uplifting quotes, draw beautiful art on each sidewalk block, or work together to create a floor mural! You can even have an art contest with your friends. There's so much you can do with chalk art, and it doesn't require that you are less than six feet apart!
A cozy outdoor picnic!
So many people are having picnic dates with their friends and family, even during quarantine! This is a great low-budget activity because it only requires a blanket and fresh food, ready to eat. It is also very easy to set up while still maintaining six feet of social distance. There's something very therapeutic about eating outdoors when the sun is out under a shady tree with friends you haven't seen in person for a while that makes you feel relaxed and more appreciative of life pre-quarantine. PS: Picnic dates make great Instagram photos too!
