1. Laptop.

Likely the most requested gift by college students in general, you can be assured a laptop is one gift that won't go to waste. Between Netflix, FaceBook, and writing papers, if there's one thing besides their phone that a millennial can't part with, it's their laptop. Don't know what kind of laptop to buy? Our Contributing Editor here at Vanderbilt, Elijah, says a 17 inch HP Inspiron is at the top of his wish list this year.

2. Polaroid Camera.

Yes, if you haven't figured it out by now, we like our technology. Now not only will we be able to post our artsy pictures on tumblr, but with a renovated polaroid camera we'll also be able to print them out to capture fun moments into physical memories.

3. Jean Jacket.

A new jean jacket is on my personal wish list this year as I think decorating with patches and pins are a fun way to express your personality. But to be more general, I can guarantee any young person will most likely want more clothes. Afraid you may not match their style and that Christmas sweater will lie on their closet floor till they feel obligated to bring it out next year at the family reunion? Picking up a gift card from their favorite store or mall is a fail proof way to win their hearts this holiday season.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
