3 Months From Now You Will Thank Yourself

As your summer is coming to an end, school is about to begin. If you are anything like me, then you are getting excited for what this school year might bring. Saying good-bye to the long beach days, endless tanning, and hanging around by the pool can be difficult. The start of a new school year can make you eager, nervous, excited or even unmotivated. The idea of another school year, living in the library on more caffeine then you ever thought possible may not sound appealing to you. Here a few motivational quotes to get you in a positive mindset before heading off to school.

1. Instead of looking at the hundred reasons to quit, look at the thousand reasons not to give up.

2. Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The will pass anyway.

3. The struggle you're in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow.

4. Do something today that your future self-will thank you for.

5. If it wasn't hard everyone would do it. It's the hard that makes it great.

6. Push yourself because, no one else is going to do it for you.

7. The expert in anything was once a beginner.

8. No matter how you feel...Get up. Dress up. Show up. and Never give up.

9. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore is not an act, but a habit.

10. I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.

Starting of the year with the right mindset can help make this school year the best one yet. If you go in thinking you are going to rock this year, I have faith you will do nothing less.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
