What Makes An Anime?

3 Major Things For Anime

So anime is a pretty big topic. There is action, adventure, comedy, horror and harem, which is just someone with many love interests. But what makes an anime? That is a question that every that watches anime usually has. But there are usually only three things that make an anime very interesting to watch and enjoy. These three things are characters, story telling and the overall mood of the anime.

Characters are vital in pretty much anything. There is the main character, the person opposing the main character, the friends for both, random individuals, and people who have very different personalities. These characters make the anime show they are in be that anime. When you have no characters in a plot to the anime, the story becomes stupid and sour. It becomes nothing more than an ordinary story.

The next thing that makes an anime is story telling. Now, this is sometimes broken by anime because it jumps around, but this one is an alright rule. But the anime should have a story following the main character or follow a certain person every episode. This gives the viewer either a chance to see how the main character will overcome his or her arch enemy or even just show different horrors that take place. An example of the third on is Blood C. Please do not watch this if you are not a fan of horror anime. But anyways story telling is great for the anime's main purpose so it has to be in there sometimes.

So the overall mood of the anime does not make an anime's story or makes the characters. It makes the whole thing very original. Take Blood C for instance. It defines the horror genre in my opinion and the overall mood is especially dark and focuses more on monsters, blood, and random things more than anything else. This makes this anime very popular but again do not watch this anime unless you love this genre and can handle it.

So these three things make anime what it is. But these things do have to adapt to the changes just as people do. So when it adapts it still follows those three rules and can sometimes make something eve better than before.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
