YouTube has become a haven of sorts for the LGBT+ Community. There's a plethora of YouTubers who shed light on LGBT issues and experiences, giving a voice to the community. Along with that, it makes LGBT youth not feel so alone; Having someone talk about their similar experiences can give hope to those struggling. Looking at the community that is YouTube for the first time can be a bit overwhelming. So I made it a bit easier for you, and listed out 3 of my favorite LGBT YouTubers.
1. Ashley Mardell
Ashley Mardell is a Pansexual, androgynous YouTuber, who's videos mostly center around education on LGBT issues. From her beautiful stop motion videos, to her more casual Beer and a Chat videos, there's something that'll interest everyone.
2. Alayna Fender
Alayna Fender is a bisexual woman in a heterosexual relationship. This gives her a unique viewpoint of the LGBT community. Her videos range from silly videos, to serious videos on mental illness. And of course, there's her hilarious I Don't Bi It series, where she plays a clueless interviewer, interviewing members of the LGBT community.
3. Stef Sanjati
Stef Sanjati is a woman of trans experience, who has documented a majority of her transition on her YouTube channel. Her open discussions about the struggles of her transition not only helps members of the trans community feel less alone, but also educate people outside the community.
