New Year, New Feelings, New Breathe, New Chances, Fresh Starts! These are a few of my favorite things 2017 has to deliver!

What are you going to make happen this year? The opportunities are limitless! Everyday offering a fresh start, a blank page, your story untold.

Here are 3 commitments you should embrace today, tomorrow, and all year!

1. Live 2017 with Intention! Don't simply state your desires but fuel them because strong is beautiful. Life can become moment after moment of habit if we let it, so don't! Live with purpose, live for a reason! Take time each day to touch base with your mind, body, heart, and soul. Know where you are headed and head there with determination and resolve! Remember that living intentional will create your reality!

2. Stop making the same mistakes because it's time to make new ones! Mistakes can be the best learning tools if we learn from them while moving forward with change. Life's greatest lessons are often disguised as mistakes; so don't carry them around but place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones!

3. Fall is love and surround yourself with the ones who feel like home! Don't allow yourself to become trapped with the still people in your life. You know the ones, "still" broken, "still complaining", & "still" nowhere; instead spend time with people who have a hunger for life, touch your heart, and nourish your soul. Make time for the dreamers and the doers, the believers and the thinkers in your life! They will see, encourage, and celebrate the successes of your life!

In life there are defining moments! What will the moments of 2017 say about you? It's a story waiting to unfold so embrace and fuel your 2017 and make it the part of your story that you want to read out loud!

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
