These days, so many people tend to binge-watch shows that have already ended. While I do feel that the quality of television is decreasing, I was lucky enough to find current shows that are just as addicting as old shows. I suggest giving them a try; you'll surely be surprised!
1.) Jane the Virgin (aired 2014)
This show is my absolute favorite show currently airing. It's actually a satire of telenovelas and it's even based on a real telenovela called Juana la Virgen . It's about a 23 year old woman named Jane who vows to be a virgin until marriage. However, a regular pap smear appointment quickly goes awry when Jane is accidentally artificially inseminated with sperm meant for the woman in the room next door. But the show is not just about Jane being pregnant; there's a murder mystery, a love triangle, and everything in between. To top it all off, there's entertaining narration to help the viewer along. Yes, the storyline is extremely far fetched, but the far-fetched ones are always the ones that people remember.
2.) How To Get Away With Murder (aired 2014)
I got addicted to this show quicker than I expected. In this drama, Annalise Keating is a law professor and also an attorney. She selects five of her best students to intern with her and her two associates. Without giving too much of the twists away, Annalise, her students, and her associates quickly get intertwined in a murder of their own. If that's not enough to draw you in, I'm not sure what is.
3.) It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (aired 2005)
This comedy tells the story of five friends known as "The Gang." They run a bar called "Paddy's Pub" in...you guessed it..Philadelphia. They constantly find themselves in ridiculous situations that they take to a whole new level. They do things such as hide naked inside a couch to stalk someone and do drugs so they can pretend to be mentally retarded in order to get welfare. The humor is witty and sick, and if that's your taste, you found a perfect show.
