We all procrastinate at some point or another, but where's the line between good and bad procrastination? Sometimes we just get lost in the abyss that is social media, and come away feeling guilty. Below is a list of guilt-free procrastination techniques to leave you feeling like you're still being productive (without working on what you should be working on).
1. Get organized.
Clean your room, make your bed, clean out your purse, clean your car, do any type of organizational task. You'll feel pretty good when you finally do your assignment and everything is in order for when you're done
2. Research something you've always wanted to learn about.
I've always been interested in photography and like to watch lynda.com videos when I'm putting things off.
3. Get back in touch with someone.
You don't want to work on your assignment? Work on your relationships. Reach out to someone you haven't talked to in a long time or someone you feel like you're growing apart from.
4. Maintain a journal.
I know this seems a little sappy, but it's a great way to stay in touch with yourself, and if you're forgetful like me, it's a great way to remember what you did yesterday.
5. Organize your schedule.
Practice time management by planning it. It's likely that if you learn to write it down and try to stick to it, maybe you won't be procrastinating next time.
