Registering for classes is stressful. What classes do you need to take? What professors should you take them with? What time are you really willing to wake up in the morning? We stare at our computers for hours trying to concoct the perfect schedule, only to find half of our classes filled once it's finally our registration time. Thank God we only have to suffer through this day two times a year. There has got to be a better way to do this, but until then we will all be having these thoughts on those dreaded days.

1. 1:30 p.m.?! Why do I get the crappy registration times every semester, this isn’t fair.

2. If I’m technically a sophomore credit wise, why do I still have to register on freshman day? Again, not fair.

3. OK, I’m gonna knock out a bunch of classes for my major this semester.

4. Eh, these major classes sound kind of hard, do I have any GenEds left I need to fill?

5. Ooo this class looks fun, I'll take this.

6. I think I should add a major. Yeah “double major” sounds so impressive.

7. Only 10 classes needed for the Political Science major… yep, I’ll double major in that.

8. The classes for my current major are so boring, I need to switch majors.

9. I cannot take another science class. Forget pre-med, what jobs can I get as a communications major?

10. Hmmm what to minor in?

11. Why are there the classes I need only offered at 8 a.m.?

12. Okay 9:05’s aren’t that bad, I can handle those.

13. Who am I kidding, I barely made my 10:10’s this semester.

14. Why does every class have a recitation?

15. Should I make it so I have no Tuesday/Thursday classes? Those suck.

16. As long as I don’t have classes on Friday I’ll be happy.

17. 9:05 History on Friday. Great.

18. Why are the classes I want not offered this semester?

19. Why are these professors not on Rate My Professor?

20. I think I’ll overload this semester and take 18 hours so I can relax next semester.

21. I only need to be in 12 credit hours to be a full time student right…

22. Blinkness says only 5 percent of students get A’s. Not taking that class.

23. I have 30 classes in my shopping cart, that should be good right?

24. Let me add one more to be safe.

25. God, please don’t have anyone else sign up for the classes I want, I cannot go on the wait list.

26. 1:29 here we go…

27. Blue square, blue square, blue square…

28. Damn you, Connect Carolina.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
