28 Things to Do At Home During Break
Odyssey Online

Hello, lads and lasses.

I hope you're having the time of your life in Cabo, Miami, Hawaii or wherever you are. While many of you will be getting plastered with your friends, I've created a list of activities for those who will be staying home for break this year.

There is a chance that the following activities may not be enjoyable nor safe and there is a chance that you might get seriously injured or arrested.

Viewer discretion is advised.

1. Clean your house

Hey, at least your parents are going to love you for this one. If you got any extra time, come clean my house too.

2. Go study at the library

A good student studies in advance and reviews afterwards. Go to the library and earn the 4.0 you deserve.

3. Go pass out at the library

Who are we kidding? You're probably not going to the library to study. But if you do decide to go, make sure to bring a pillow so you can have a nice nap.

5. Get HAM radio certification

I always wanted to get HAM radio certified. Isn't this how you talk with aliens? No? Okay, never mind then.

6. Build a robot

How hard can it be? You could probably learn how to build one from YouTube.

7. Spend time with your parents

When I say "spend time", I actually mean drink with your parents. While you are at it, you can play a little drinking game called "Truth or Drink". Watch the full video here.

8. Take your dog to the dog park

Sometimes I feel bad for my dog because he's home, all by himself, eating the same food every day. Also, he's getting fat. I'm sure the dog will have the time of his life and will love you forever for doing this.

9. Take your cat to the dog park

I don't think your cats going to like you after this but I'm kind of curious to see what will happen..

10. Take a shower

Day 1 is finished, and you still have so much to do. Why don't you take a shower before you head off to bed.

11. Get a fake tan

Hey, at least you could tell people that you went somewhere fun for break.

12. Drink lots of water

Hydration is key in any things that you do. Sports, writing, violin practice, whatever it is water is key.

13. Ding-dong ditch your neighbors

This was the go to mischievous prank that we used to do as kids. Now if you get caught, you might have to pay a fine or get arrested I don't know. Worst thing about being an adult is that it's harder to get away with things like this.

14. Get a Haircut

All wise men have said many times in history, "when you look good, you play good."

15. Go get yourself a job

Now that you're tan, you're clean and gotten a haircut, maybe it's about time you got off your bum and find yourself a job.

16. See how many Locos Doritos Tacos you can eat in an hour

This would be the perfect first date with your crush. Ask him or her out to Taco Bell and challenge them to a Doritos taco eating contest.

17. Count the minutes you're on the toilet

Have fun dealing with the aftermath of no. 16

18. See what happens if you try to steal a cop car

Please let me know what happens after. *This stunt requires tremendous amount of courage to pull off

19. Buy a pet tortoise

Click on this link. You can also buy an alligator.

20. Buy a pet hare

Do you see where I'm going with this?

21. Race them

I've always wondered if fables were literal.

22. Leave a Yelp review

5 star is guaranteed. Make sure to use MLA format and cite your sources.

23. Skinny dip in the community pool

This is probably the most fun way to get arrested and possibly be registered as a sex offender.

24. Make a YouTube video

Your first video would be somewhere along the lines of "A College Student Finally Arrested After Stealing Cop Car and Skinny Dipping in a Pool."

25. Find out what kind of food they serve in Prison

This is the only natural step after what you did in the community pool, you sick monster.

26. Become a Pokémon master

Do you want to be the very best or nah?

27. Read a book

Now at this point, you're thinking, "finally, a normal human activity!"

28. Fall sleep one more time

Break will be over sooner than you know it. Enjoy your time off while it lasts and get plenty of sleep.

*This list was created for entertainment purposes only. Please do not attempt any of these stunts in real life, we will not be held liable for any damages under any circumstances.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
