28 Things You Should Thank Your Boyfriend For

When in a relationship, sometimes the smallest things tend to go unrecognized but those are the things that mean the most. At the end of the day, they are the person we will have right by our sides, so here is all the things we should thank our boyfriends for (I know I need to):

1. Letting me take as many pictures of us at every place we go together, even when I hate the first 20 and have to take more.

2. Dealing with my hair being everywhere. Your car, your bed, my bed, your clothes, the shower.

3. For always wanting to take me out to dinner, and paying for it, even when I insist it's my turn to pay.

4. Letting me record you doing silly things, like dancing in my bathrobe or making funny faces.

5. For always reminding me to put my seatbelt on when I forget.

6. Watching Grey's Anatomy with me every Sunday when I probably should have been productive.

7. Encouraging me not to wear makeup, and letting me know I am beautiful without it.

8. For cooking breakfast in the morning when I said I would, but got too lazy.

9. Always laughing at all my awful jokes-- no seriously some are them are really bad and you still laugh.

10. For dancing with me any chance you get.

11. Driving two hours to see me whenever you get the chance to.

12. Supporting me to travel, and do big things.

13. For introducing me to country and taking me to my first country concert.

14. Getting up and shutting the light off when I'm closer to the door.

15. For always answering my Facetime calls at every waking moment.

16. Letting me take up 95 percent of the bed and not complaining about it.

17. For skiing slower to make sure you are there when I fall and my ski's go everywhere.

18. Forcing me to get up for my 8 a.m. class when I want to sleep in.

19. Letting me get you sick when you took care of me.

20. Being there for my family every chance you can.

21. For giving me your entire wardrobe, even when it's your favorite shirt

22. For being equally as lazy as I am.

23. Letting me drive your car after I've asked 800 million times.

24. For teaching me all the players in the NBA and not laughing when I mix up the names.

25. Listening to my pointless rants about my day.

26. Reminding me I can't have ice cream or milk late at night because it gives me stomach aches.

27. For letting me meet all your friends and family, while showing me off in the meantime

28. For loving me unconditionally.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
