The most wonderful time of the semester.... finals week. How prepared are you?

1. The initial realization that finals are this week.

2. Then realizing how you haven't paid attention all semester.

3. And suddenly you remember how you have two projects and three papers due as well.

4. So you have a little break down.

5. Then you tell yourself you’re going to get your shit together.

6. Studying starts to get really intense.

7. But then you realize you could use a little break.

8. I mean, after all, you deserve it right?

9. And breaks mean having a small snack…

10. And snacks mean watching some Netflix….

11. But then you’re 5 episodes deep into a brand new series.

12. And suddenly you’ve finished three seasons.

13. And then you break down. Again.

14. But now it’s time for some serious studying.

15. So you take 6 shots of expresso and a five-hour energy.

16. And now you’re struggling to stay awake.

17. You start to cry because you’ve procrastinated this much.

18. Then everything starts to distract you.

19. And you do absolutely anything to procrastinate.

20. Like updating everyone else on Twitter that you’ve procrastinated.

21. Then it’s hit you: you need serious help.

22. So you try to study again, your last fatal attempt.

23. But you look at the clock.

24. And it’s 4am so you accept defeat.

25. Then you wake up two hours later, overtired and nothing to show for it.

26. You realize you don’t even care anymore.

27. But you’ve decided to promise yourself you’re never going to procrastinate again.

28. But in reality you know that’s never actually going to change.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
