28 Signs You're In A Super Long-Term Relationship

Ah yes, long-term relationships. If you're lucky enough to be in one, you can probably agree that they're the best. Let's be clear, though. When I say long-term relationship, I'm probably not talking about the girl who has posted her boyfriend of nine months as her #MCM literally every single week since they started dating. Or that buddy we all have who can never go out for a guys' night without being glued to his phone texting his girlfriend the entire night. No. I'm talking about the couple who is signing the lease for their second apartment together. Or that friend of yours who could go out to the bar for a girls' night and her boyfriend wouldn't even sweat it because, well... they've been together for basically forever, the seasoned vets, in other words. The couples who we cannot imagine ever breaking up at this point (seriously...it would just be weird). If these 28 signs sound all too familiar to you, then congrats, you are definitely in a long term relationship!

1. You don't need to constantly text each other throughout the entire day. The texts you do send tend to be short and sweet.

2. That whole "double texting" and "standard waiting time to text back" rule? Pleaseeeee.

3. "So when are you two getting married?" is a question you both are starting to hear more and more.

4. In fact, at this rate, your wedding may be more anticipated than the royal wedding.

5. You really only take pictures together on special occasions now because you're content with the fact that you already have thousands.

6. You are shocked whenever you look back at pictures from when you first started dating because you both have grown up so much since then.

7. You have to stop yourself from answering questions for them when you are out with people.

8. Your significant other is a regular on your Timehop updates and every day you are astonished by how long ago certain memories took place.

9. You can hang out with their family without them being present and it's not awkward.

10. In fact, their siblings feel like your own siblings at this point.

11. Your significant other's friends have become your friends.

12. You've been together for huge milestones.

13. If you have a pet, the two of you consider it your child.

14. For some of the younger kids in your family, your significant other may have been around since before they were even born.

15. It feels like the only thing that would really change if the two of you got married is that one of you would have a new last name.

16. Speaking of last names, that last name change doesn't even sound or look foreign to you because you've probably practiced writing it a million times over the years.

17. You've been on multiple vacations together.

18. You're completely open with each other. You never feel embarrassed or ashamed to tell them something.

19. You've realized that you're not always going to like the same TV shows. So you both have some series that you watch on your own.

20. Although there are a few shows of theirs that have managed to rub off on you over time.

21. You're just as happy spending a Saturday night at home together as you are going out.

22. Unlike newer couples, you have found a way to balance your relationship so that both of you can maintain your independence, professional life, and friendships.

23. It takes a lot to gross the other out.

24. You don't have to play any games to get attention or make the other person jealous because you know you're both on the same page.

25. You've been referred to by your pet name for so long that it's really weird when your significant other calls you by your actual name.

26. No matter how long you've been together, you know the fun will always continue because you are best friends.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
