Fitness--it's a lifestyle and an obsession. If you are a fit girl like me, you know that once you discover the gym, eating healthy, and the comfort of workout leggings, there is no going back. Before you became a fit girl, you never understood the joy of waking up early for the gym or meal prepping. But being a fit girl is more than just an obsession, it's a lifestyle. Although your friends may not understand why you spend so much time at the gym, or why you love your Blender Bottle, you know that being a fit girl is who you are and wouldn't want to live your life any other way.

1. You get told all the time that you are obsessed with the gym. You know!

The gym is your first love, and you spend all your free time there.

2. Washing your hair gets annoying, especially since it will get dirty when you work out in another 12 hours.

Dry shampoo is your best friend.

3. You live for your morning workouts.

To you, waking up at the crack of dawn to work out is the perfect start to your day.

4. It is impossible for you to fit into "jeggings" because your legs are too muscular.

You wonder how other girls do it, and then remember you would rather have muscle.

5. You sometimes think you are a man because of all the food you eat.

Getting hungry every two hours is normal for you.

6. And you are constantly drinking water.

You only peed 87583 times.

7. You have a whole workout wardrobe.

You would rather wear workout clothes any day.

8. And your favorite pair (or pairs) of trainers.

Wearing cool Nikes gets you more excited than heels, tbh.

9. You prefer a sports bra to a normal bra any day.

Although you have normal bras, you prefer sports bras for their comfort.

10. Similarly, you usually wear your hair up in a ponytail because you're always at the gym.

Maybe you are a fit girl who does her hair, but if you are you have a low-maintenance hairstyle.

11. When you see other girls doing only cardio at the gym, you cringe and remember when that was you before you discovered weight lifting.

Now, you rarely do cardio and dread every second of it.

12. You also have a favorite part of your body to train.

Leg day gets you excited because of the gains!!

13. You go through protein powder like a man.

You love your Blender Bottle and protein shakes after your workouts.

14. Nothing upsets you more than missing a day at the gym.

Rest day makes you wish you were working out.

15. The day you squat more than your own body weight is the proudest day of your life.

It means all your hard work paid off, and you are finally becoming stronger.

16. Your friends always come to you for training advice.

Whether or not they take it is another story.

17. You date around, secretly trying to find a man who is just as fitness obsessed as you are.

To you, dating someone who wants to train with you is your ultimate goal.

18. Your diet is exclusively protein, vegetables, and complex carbs.

You meal prep so you never divert from this diet.

19. And to you, a cheat day is a big deal.

If you cheat on your diet, you are at the gym the next day.

20. You don't worry about what you look like at the gym.

You know that boys may be staring, but you don't care because you just want to get your workout done.

21. Because your goal is to see gains, and you get excited when they finally start showing.

You love to see your hard work paying off.

22. You have the perfect playlist for every workout.

You love finding the right songs to motivate you and get you through your workout.

23. And to you, headphones are a gym essential.

You need your music to workout.

24. You know that it is a process to build the body you want.

Hard work, dedication and eating right are all needed to look your best.

25. So you've stopped caring about the number on the scale and more about the strength you gain.

You know that everyone is different and being healthy shouldn't be defined by a number on a scale. Instead, it's about becoming stronger, feeling better, and eating right.

26. Because being healthy is a lifestyle.

You work out and eat healthy every day, so you know that you are doing the right things for your body.

27. And to you, being a fit girl is the best thing that has ever happened to you.

You know you are doing the best things for your body and your health.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
