It is universally accepted that this political season was a mess.

We are all beyond over it. So now that it is now out of our control, let's stop the Facebook rants and get back to the things we all know and love. Here are 27 things I'd rather do than talk, think or write about politics.

1. Watch paint dry

2. Watch every documentary on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime

3. Clean up a park

4. Completely cover someone's car in post-it notes

5. Fill out all the immigration paperwork for Canada

6. Learn to cook a duck

7. Help retirees learn to tweet

8. Take up geocaching

9. Watch every rom-com I own, twice

10. Re-read old textbooks (or read them for the first time)

11. Watch infomercials

12. Start a blog about how much I love pickles

13. Read the Jane Austen collected works, over and over again

14. Sort laundry for my entire apartment complex

15. Start a pooper scooper business

Okay so maybe I've made my point, I would literally rather do ANYTHING else other than keep talking thinking or even breathing about anything even possibly politically related. I know it's important, but this year everyone has really gotten out of hand. So here are 13 more, less torturous things I'd rather do than talk, think, or write about politics.

16. Learn one amazing recipe from Chef Gordon Ramsey

17. Make some super cool Christmas decor

18. Color in the array of super cool adult coloring books

19. Catch up with Grey's Anatomy (2 more seasons to go!)

20. Make some homemade dog treats

21. Harry Potter Marathon, duh.

22. Google random google searches

23. Plan a super cool vacation that I'll never go on (Bora-Bora here I come!)

24. Go window shopping at the mall

25. Listen to a new playlist on Spotify

26. Arrange a book swap

27. Thank God that the election is over, and work on bringing all my friends back together

How else will I survive the countless hours of class time that I will be surfing the web during?!?!

Let's all just go back to regularly scheduled insta posts, funny tweets, and hilarious memes shall we? Also, we all need to know what you made for dinner, so don't forget to post that too, thanks!

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate. It can be overwhelming at times and it’s important to take a step a back and calmly think things over. Maybe gain some perspective.
