If you're a 90's kid and you watched and played Pokemon during your childhood you were probably dreaming that one day your training would become real - well now it's your lucky day! From the creators of Niantic Inc., Pokemon GO is a virtual reality of the Pokemon universe where individuals can play in real time around the world and catch Pokemon, power them up, evolve them, battle other local players at gyms and travel to pokestops to get special items. If you started playing from day one you've probably experienced these 21 Pokemon GO realities.

1. Running into Inanimate Objects

This is not a joke. Screen doors are one thing, running into a pole in public is another.

2. Parking in front of stranger's houses and locking all your doors

"Quick! Pull over! There's something over there!" *drives recklessly on an empty neighborhood street knocking over trashcans.

3. Getting hyper-excited about every accomplishment

Fist pumps with a resounding "yesssssss-es" draws more eyes than you'd think.

4. Getting the Pokemon theme song stuck in your head

"I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was. DUN DUN DUN to catch them is my real test. To train them is my caaaaaause - POKEMON GOTTA CATCH THEM ALLLLL! It's you and meee! I know it's my DESTINY! POKEMON! ooohhhh you're my best friend in a world we must defend" etc etc etc

5. Aimlessly walking into a store and realizing you're the only customer

Today, I wandered into a local ice cream parlor just to get close enough to a gym battle, but after winning I realized I was the only "customer" in there. So, I reluctantly purchased a shake and left.

6. Managing to get lost

Already being directionally challenged as it is, so having to spin around to catch a pokemon doesn't help my sense of direction.

7. Investing in pepper spray for those dark alley battles

I now walk around with pepper spray in my pocket just so I can safely capture my pokemons and leave.

8. Forgetting to enjoy the beautiful surroundings

One of the main points of this game is to get people up and exploring, however, when you're on a mission there's no time to stare at real animals or random stone runes - there's pokemon to catch! Some would say I was too close to this deer...how was I suppose to know? There's a Rattata in my midst.

9. Using Incense so you don't have to leave your house at night

But seriously, sometimes you need that extra XP before bed, but it's 2 in the morning and you don't want to go outside, so you just lure them all to you.

10. Suddenly pulling into the nearest parking lot or gas station, then sprinting down the sidewalk

NEVER PokeGo and drive! NEVER. Even if you think their warning to STAY ALERT pertains to finding pokemon, it does not. But if you do drive and play, safely pull into the nearest safe place to proceed with vigor. Otherwise give your phone over to the passenger before entering your vehicle and ask, "Hey man, I need a poke-favor..."

11. Driving to random locations around town you never knew existed is so exciting

12. Snapshots of Pokemon in the strangest locations

Enough said.

13. Obsessively reading every related article and watching every YouTube video

You're slowly becoming a master when you can already relate to every funny gif and meme about Pokemon Go and you're learning all the cool tips and tricks. Don't judge us, we gotta catch them all!

14. Striking nerdy dialogue about all your PokeGO adventures

15. Burning more calories than ever before

With all this excitement and wandering around, you've done more aerobic activity than you ever did in P.E. class.

16. Learning about what your city has to offer

But really, each "monument" is only worth the amount of items it currently offers, otherwise you would've never noticed it. It's all about the PokeStops, not an insignificant sign in the middle of nowhere.

17. Putting more money into your gas budget

You live in the middle of nowhere where those insignificant signs hold pokestops, it's time to fill your tank and drive into town with your bike hitched to the top of your car.

18. Arriving 30 minutes early to everything in case any pokemon or gyms are around

This means you'll either be on time, or even more late than usual, "sorry boss...I gotta catch them all..."

19. Buying a plane ticket to a far away land

If you want to be the very best, it's time to leave the country (or so you think). Use every excuse to leave, you will always justify it by saying, "I might be able to find more Pokemon!"

20. Constantly hearing "Everyone is playing Pokemon Go" at a popular location

Once you've leveled up enough you're gonna want to buy a disguise to hide from all the noobs. Playing incognito might save you the embarrassment of all the stereotypes. Be the bigger master, and set the example straight.

21. Meeting strangers and making friends

It's so exciting to run into another person who just saw the same pokemon as you, then you both catch it and become bffs. Well, maybe. At least until you find out they're on another team, or really really weird.

22. When the expert walks by and answers all your questions and even gives you tips

23. Dodging the stampede for a rare pokemon

Stay alert and listen for stampedes. They are real, and they will knock you over.

24. Being the odd one out when your new friends from another team try to take your gym

Today, I made these friends who I traveled around a park with, and once we got to a gym they wanted to I discovered they were all on another team...awkward.

25. Using the Lure Module to meet girls

Boys, women are not pokemon, so please don't try to lure us into the Japanese Botanical gardens just so you can use your cheesy pickup lines to get a date (unless we're secretly hoping to find love by following the trail of pokemon to your heart).

26. Finding the jackpot

Time to put your running shoes on, we've gotta hit the trails!

27. Having the time of your life

It's fun to play alone and also meet new people, but groups are always way better. This app will take you places that you've never appreciated before, and to some places you'll never want to go back to. So, have a blast with this awesome app, dont PokeGO and drive and remember to STAY ALERT of all your surroundings!

Play Responsibly my friends.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
