Okay let's face it... if you've ever watched Harry Potter you can agree that on your 11th birthday you were eagerly waiting for an owl to swoop down and give you your acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Unfortunately (as far as I know) wizarding schools aren't real so none of us ever got the letter we were hoping for all those years ago.

Even though we never went to Hogwarts, we went to college. Close enough right? (Not really.)
There are moments in the Harry Potter series that describe college better than we ever could. So, I give you 27 times Harry Potter perfectly captured what college is all about.

1. When you finally see your friends after summer break

2. When you have to eat in the cafe by yourself

3. When you have no idea what the professor is talking about

4. When you open your textbook for the first time all semester

There's a lot more useful information in there than we thought.

5. Bar Charlotte summed up

We'll miss you Bar Charlotte...

6. Every athlete in the cafe after practice

No shame. None, what-so-ever.

7. When the professor says the final is cumulative

8. Freshmen trying to find their way around campus

9. The look you give when Coach says "Get on the line"

If looks could kill...

10. When class gets cancelled

That extra hour of sleep is precious.

11. When class gets cancelled but you find out by showing up and nobody else is there

Always check your email in the morning!

12. What actually happens to everything you learned all year over summer break

What's meiosis & mitosis again? We only spent 3 weeks learning about it...

13. When the know-it-all in class opens his/her mouth

14. When there's no good food in the cafe

Cereal it is! Again.

15. When you get stuck being mom for the night

16. When you have a procrastination problem and have to pull an all-nighter

17. When you know you failed an exam but gotta walk out with your head held high

Hopefully you don't actually know this feeling!

18. When you're the only sober one at the party

19. When your friend tells you they did exactly what you told them not to do

Moral of the story: always listen to your friends, or you'll hear a big fat "I told you so!"

20. When there's a big home game on campus

Probably soccer...

21. Walking into 6 a.m. classes with the team like...

We're here for our death sentence!

22. When you drop something in the cafe and everyone starts clapping

23. When you show up late to class...

You either came from practice and smell really bad or just rolled out of bed and have lines all over your face from your pillow.

24. ...Or you decide to stay in bed and not go to class at all

This will probably be the day there's a pop quiz.

25. When you have to practice outside in outrageous weather

40 degrees and raining or 100 degrees and sweating in places I didn't know could sweat.

26. When someone you don't want at the party shows up

It might have been different if they were the only ones that showed up, but they brought their whole squad...

27. When your friend goes home for the weekend

Yeah, it's only 3 months, but who wants to be away from their best friends for that long??

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
