26 Times Friends Perfectly Captured Midterm Week

"Well no one told you life was gonna be this way." But for real, even the most prestigious high schools couldn't have prepared us for this period of hell.

26 Times Friends Perfectly Captured Midterm Week

Well folks, it's finally that time of year again. And no, I'm not talking about PSL season, you basic white girls. No, not yoga pants season either, you helpless, thirsty college boys. I am talking about a college student's most stressful time of the semester: midterms. I know, I swear that Welcome Weekend was just last week...*cries a little bit inside.* As I'm sure that both you and I are procrastinating this very second on accomplishing our seemingly never-ending to-do list. Here are 26 ways the "Friends" cast perfectly captured how you're feeling right about now into the semester.

1. When your friend tells you they have a 4.0.

2. When you feel the stress of midterms rapidly approaching.

3. And you're trying your best to keep everything under control...

4. ...but really you feel like your head could explode at any second from all the knowledge you've been cramming into your brain.

5. So tensions are high anywhere you go.

6. When your roommate asks you to help them study when you haven't even started studying yourself.

7. When you see your professor outside of class...

8. ...and you can't decide if you should disguise yourself so they don't recognize that you're out instead of studying...

9. ...or if you should say hi and brown-nose in hopes of them giving you hints about what will be on their midterm.

10. When you stay in to study and can hear everyone partying at the bar next door.

11. Or when your drunk roommate comes home from being out because they're done with midterms.

12. When you finally sit down to study, but your notes make zero sense.

13. When you're the only one in your study group who didn't know the answer.

14. But when you finally get a question right in your group study session.

15. You can't help but make sure everyone around you knows that you're the one who got the answer.

16. When you give up studying and convince yourself that you've done all that you can do to prepare, while trying your best to stay optimistic until the time of your test.

17. When you're walking past the bar on the way to your exam and your drunk friends are cheering you on.

18. When you sit down at your desk and are amped (mostly from Red Bull and coffee) for the test to begin, anxious to apply all of the knowledge you crammed into your head the night before.

19. Then you start to read through the questions and suddenly feel like a rock star because you somehow know most of the answers.

20. When you finally walk out of your last test, realizing that all that's left for you to do now is wait for your grade to be posted.

21. But when you get home, you can't remember which answer you put on that one question.

22. When the anticipation of waiting for your midterm grades to be posted is killing you.

23. The next class, your professor finally announces the class average...

24. ...and you find out you somehow managed to pull out an A on a test you thought you bombed.

25. So you throw yourself a party to celebrate.

26. And then you realize that this is only midterms, and that you'll have to do this all over again at the end of the semester.

I wish you all luck and happy studying. But more importantly, remember to always tap into your inner unagi. You never know when the danger of midterms might sneak up on you...

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
