You've done it! You've gone off to college, a dream come true! However, there's still one thing standing in between you and your first real day at college - orientation. It's something we all have to deal with, and it can actually be kind of fun. Well, some parts can be fun. Others are painfully long, drawn out, and frankly, you just want to GET ON with it. These 26 things are thoughts every college freshman has on their orientation day.

1. Oh my God, it's so early. Who decided that this needed to start at 9.

2. I need to eat breakfast. I need to shower. College is already way too hard.

3. Might as well get on with it. How long can this day actually be.

4. It's so hot, oh my god it's so hot. I think I'm actually sweating. At 9:30 in the morning.

5. I can't tell if my mom is embarrassing me or if this is actually funny. I think both, but who knows.

6. One good thing so far: the speakers at college functions are WAY better than speakers at high school functions.

7. Okay, I know he's funny and this is important and inspirational, but I really just wanna get to lunch.

8. There's a lot of walking involved in this. Why is there so much walking?

9. She was nice. She's also in my major. Probably my best friend for life, walking away right now. Goodbye.

10. I'm really not ready to say goodbye to my parents. I won't tell them that, but I'm really not.

11. I have a class in basically all of these buildings. They all look the same. I'm going to 100% get lost.

12. Oh thank god for lunch.

13. I really hope not all college lunches are served in brown paper bags like I'm in 4th grade again. Actually, that might be great.

14. Why does this day keep going. It's literally even more hot than before.

15. I want to take a nap.

16. I wonder if the night before I left was the last good night of sleep that I'll get in the next four years.

17. I've decided that I hate walking. WHERE ARE WE EVEN GOING ANYMORE.

18. I really don't want to go to class on Monday.

19. But also, I really do wanna go to class on Monday.

20. My dorm seems a lot more inviting now that I've been away from it for 7 hours today.

21. Why is Orientation so spread out. Like, shove some information in my face and let me go.

22. I can't tell if I'm intimidated or irritated at college boys. I think irritated.

23. I know 3 peoples' names. That's all I've got. And one is my roommate's.

24. I just really wanna pass all my classes.

25. This was the longest, most chaotic, craziest day of my life. I'm so exhausted.

26. I can't wait until the rest of college.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.
