With summer quickly passing by, most of us can agree that we've spent a majority of our summer either working or complaining about all the things we want to do but haven't done yet. Though it's important to make money, and as broke college students we sure as hell need it, we also have to spend some time making great memories with our BFFs. With a few weeks left, here are a few ideas on how to spend the rest of the season!

1. Have a bonfire.

2. Get up early one morning and make yourself run one mile. Prove to yourself that you can do it, and I promise afterward you’ll feel a million times better.

3. Try a new dish. Start expanding your horizons and incorporate foods you would normally be afraid to eat. The worst thing that could happen is that you hate it, but hey, at least you tried!

4. Spend a day at the zoo.

5. Eat breakfast in bed.

6. Go kayaking/paddle boarding.

7. Jump in your car and DRIVE! Get lost, find a few cool places and have fun!

8. Find an activity that relaxes you and try doing it a few times a week. Sometimes we all need something that distracts us from reality for a little bit.

9. Plan a trip. It can be a weekend getaway to the city or a week in the tropics. Seeing the world is so important and even if you can’t get up and go right now, there’s no harm in planning a few months or even a year in advance. It’ll give you something to look forward to.

10. Get lost in conversation until 4 a.m.

11. Thank the people who listen to your crap on the daily. Make sure they know that you appreciate everything they do for you.

12. Reach out to an old friend and see how they’re doing.

13. GO TO THE BEACH!

14. Go to a baseball game.

15. Go for a long hike.

16. Find a habit that helps reduce stress—running, yoga, painting, something that makes you feel calm when the world feels so chaotic—and do it.

17. Go to a concert.

18. Take a trip to the farmers' market.

19. Go on a social media hiatus and soak up the last few beautiful days the summer has to offer.

20. Find the nearest county fair and go to it with a few of your friends. Eat as many fried Oreo's as you want and go on every ride. It’s nice to feel like a little kid, even if it’s only for a few hours.

21. Read a book on the beach.

22. Sleep under the stars.

23. Visit a friend you haven’t seen in a long time.

24. Go mini-golfing.

25. Make s'mores.

26. Wish that this moment could last forever.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
