26 Things I Did Instead Of My Homework

Though it feels as if the semester has just only started, I have somehow already become buried in work and very behind. Every time a weekend comes up, I promise myself that I will finally get it together and catch up on everything so that the rest of the semester runs more smoothly. This weekend was another case of that. However, I have learned that this is almost always an empty promise to myself, and to prove it, here is a list of everything I did instead of study, on a Sunday night.

1. Finished watching Stranger Things on Netflix

2. Cleaned my room

3. Cleaned my entire apartment

4. Took a long shower

5. Cried about the drought

6. Called my mom

7. Annoyed my mom

8. Downloaded the entire discography of a band that I liked one song by

9. Went on wikipedia to learn everything about the band

10. Went on wikipedia to try and understand 2001: A Space Odyssey

11. Read multiple fan theories about the ending

12. Spent a while contemplating which one made the most sense

13. Spent a while getting angry at myself for letting it get this far

14. Vowed to make a change

15. Responded to some ~academic~ texts

16. Got distracted by Instagram

17. Ended up 142 weeks deep in a random girl's instagram

18. Got distracted by snapchat

19. Accidentally watched someone's story that I didn't want to

20. Got distracted by facebook

21. Threw my phone across the room because clearly I have no self control

22. Went to go make sure that I didn't damage my phone

23. Spent a while deciding what I wanted to listen to

24. Remembered that I downloaded the entire discography of that one band

25. Realized I only liked the one song I already had

26. Finally put on a good playlist and started to read

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
