As August comes to a close and September begins, most of us have already been back to college for at least week. If your week was anything like mine, you know what a struggle it was to transition from binge watching Netflix for hours to attending hours of classes. There's a lot of adjusting to be done, such as moving your entire life back into a dorm room and juggling your new schedule of classes, extra curricular activities, and friends. It can be mega stressful. Bring on the coffee and the naps! Anyway, I spent all of May binge-watching The Office, and I can't believe I didn't sooner considering now I can't spend a day without quoting it or tagging my friends in memes on Instagram. If you know me, it's not surprising that it was my inspiration for this article because my love for the show is endless. If you haven't watched already you need to, trust me. Here's 25 ways you feel during the first week back to school as told by the Office.

1.That face you make when your alarm goes off in the morning on the first day.

2. Sitting through your first lecture like...

3. When you see your friends you haven't seen all summer. :-)

4. When you're really feeling yourself in that first day outfit.

5. When the professor jumps from the syllabus to chapter one on the first day.

6. *After going over the syllabus* Professor: Any questions?

7. And of course, when you go over the syllabus in class and then get to leave right after.

8. When you get your first homework assignment.

9. And it has to be a certain number of words.

10. When you're asked by the Professor in class the next day how it went.

11. When you check your bank account after buying your textbooks.

12. When you're asked to tell the class a little bit about yourself.

13. Waiting in the long lines to eat lunch like...

14. And when you have to get used to eating cafeteria food again.

15. Answering a question right in class like...

16. Week one and you're already tired of looking nice, so sweatpants it is.

17. When you realize you can make questionable life choices again because FREEDOM.

18. Anticipating all the hard work you're going to have to do this semester.

19. When someone asks you how your new classes are.

20. When you're asked to do a strengths and weaknesses exercise.

21. When someone asks what you did all summer.

22. Giving yourself a pep talk for this semester like...

23. When you're struggling to adjust your sleep schedule back to school time.

24. Doing research for assignments like...

25. And when it's FINALLY the weekend.

Cheers, you survived another first week back!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
