We have made all of these faces one time or another during finals.

The time is upon us. We have survived the entire semester, suffered long nights, functioned through severe sleep deprivation (barely) and absorbed a plethora of knowledge! Now we must push through the final stretch. But if there is anyone out there who understands our pains and victories of finals week, then it is obviously Kristen Wiig.

1. When you hand in a paper and realize you still have seven more to write.

2. When you see your bed after coming home at 4 a.m. from the library.

3. When you reevaluate why you are in college and contemplate how it is ever going to impact your future.

4. When you are so brain dead that you forget to brush your teeth and you don't even care anymore.

5. When in general there is a lack of showers and hygiene, so you work with what you can in the time that you have.

6. When you discover that everything on the exam is material that was not on the study guide.

7. When all the good spots in the library are taken.

8. When there's an essay portion.

9. When you are writing the essay portion and your hands cramp up.

10. When your professor shortens your two-hour exam period to an hour.

11. Eating.

12. Finally eating.

13. Working in the library in the dead of night.

14. When you oversleep for your exam.

15. When your group project members are slacking and make up excuses (which all have to do with their boyfriends).

16. When you write an evaluation (a.k.a., a roast) on the said group members.

17. When you forget what sleep is.

18. When you are broke from all the spending you did throughout the semester, but really need to binge on some Chipotle Mexican Grill to get you through the week.

19. When you try to get an essay extension from a professor.

20. Aiming for success like...

21. When you totally nail your exam without expecting to.

22. The exact moment you hand in your last exam.

23. When you finish all of your exams and then remember that you have yet to start packing.

24. When you are leaving campus, but other students are still stuck there.

25. Bye bitches.

26. And I know she isn't Kristen Wiig, but I couldn't resist. When Melissa McCarthy accurately described everything that is not only final exams, but the entire college experience.

Good luck on finals everybody! If chocolate and coffee don't get you through the week, the wondrous Kristen Wiig surely will!

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
