TIME

Everyone by now has heard of the cute make-your-own emojis called Bitmojis. A branch of Bitstrips, Bitmojis have captured the hearts of teens and cool moms everywhere. I, one of said teens, have comprised a list of 25 times my Bitmoji has described my college experience.

1. It's Quiet Hours

but who follows them, am I right??

2. DOG

What do you say when you see a dog? DOG. And then you proceed to pet it.

3. Inevitable Late Nights

This is more of a nightly occurrence. When you're in college, working late doesn't always come with making money.

4. Creeps

Creeps give me the creeps. There are all kinds of suspicious people when it comes to college. Learn how to say no now, kids.

5. Color Guard

Holla at my band geeks! In college, I've learned that you need to find a way to make peace with yourself. What better way to do so than by doing what you love every once in a while?

6. Being Nosy

I am totally guilty of asking questions that begin with what and don't even get mad when someone tells me it's "none of my business". In my defense, I usually ask for the good of the order, just so when things get out of hand, I know why.

7. Dab On Everything

Yas, watch ya girl hit the dab. At least I don't do it when I sneeze... Anymore.

8. Alarm Clocks Kill

The most dreaded part of my day is setting my alarm at 2 am to wake me up at 6 am... and 6:15.. and again at 6:30. Seriously though, shout out to my roommate for never yelling at me when my alarm wakes her up before me.

9. YOOOO

I can't say I've ever been airlifted by a noodle out of a sea of spaghetti, but this just seemed so fitting to explain the randomness that is college life.

ex. "Wanna go to Dunkin'?" "It's 2 am!" "So??"

10. Make Friends

And never let drama between anyone get to you.

11. Dress To Impress

Get dressed up and go out. Sometimes, you owe it to yourself.

12. Jesus,

Second verse for the hustlas, gangstas. Seriously, be thankful for your education. Not everyone has it.

13. Straight Cheesin'

Prepare to be tagged in more Facebook pictures than you have ever been before.

14. Venting Is Okay

^ When you get yet another long-term assignment. Seriously, sometimes you just have to complain. Get it out of your system, but do not dwell on it.

15. Not Everyone Will Laugh At Your Jokes

When you (and only you) laugh at your own jokes. Find friends who appreciate you for you and your sense of humor. Otherwise, you're never going to have good, raw fun.

16. Often, You'll Have To Request A Prayer

Face it: we all say it at least once in our college careers for the sake of our GPAs.

17. S/O To The Odyssey Online

Take all of the opportunities. You might end up with a publication trending on a million-viewer platform.

18. Give Em' The Old Razzle Dazzle

As a good friend once said, "two thumbs up is better than one. A smile like this makes it look more fun" in reference to physics being at 7:30 in the morning.

19. Me All The Time

This goes for class, dates, dance class, meetings, and sleeping. You name it, I'll be there... eventually.

20. "What If..."

My answer when I want the conversation to end.

21. Study Later, Sleep Later, Eat Later, Breathe Later

As tempting as it is to do anything other than what you need to, don't.

22. Me Whenever Someone Visits

Or sends a care package. Either one is appreciated greatly since I probably don't have the gas money or time to come visit you.

23. Or After I Come Back From Break

I just want to shower one more time without flip flops on.

24. Popcorn Is Always Welcome

I eat popcorn like no one's business. I might even start accepting it as a form of currency.

25. Shocker!

I don't drink coffee like your average college student. However, I drink almost any type of tea.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
