Rehearsal is arguably the most essential factor in achieving cohesion and overall success as a band. However, the ability to stay focused in rehearsal is far more challenging than one might assume. Maintaining absolute concentration in any sedentary and seemingly endless situation can be tough, but band kids know this struggle better than anybody.

1. Alright, we can start tuning any day now.

2. Wait I think we're actually starting rehearsal on time...oh, nope, never mind.

3. Will that piccolo player ever be in tune?

Not gonna lie...probably not.

4. THAT BRASS THOUGH WOAH

5. Man, I messed that up.

6. Mental note: next time, remember to check the key signature.

It's fine. My ears are just bleeding from all the E naturals played instead of E flats, no big deal.

7. Maybe practicing more would be a good idea...

8. Wait, how many measures into the rests are we?

9. Whoever had this part before me is a comedic genius, wow.

Just friendly notes and reminders from whoever endured the part in the past.

10. Okay flutes, you can stop giggling now.

11. *Knocks into the stand while trying to complete an impossible page turn, resulting in the loudest sound ever heard by mankind* Oh man...

12. Well hello there cute trumpet player.

It's really a shame you've got that ego.

13. Hey, wouldn't it be cute if we had section shirts?

14. Wait, no, FOCUS.

15. I'm actually so hungry that I might die.

Is that my stomach or the timpani?

16. I wish I played a string instrument, so I could eat while I play.

17. Okay, so can someone explain to me how percussionists know how to play like 18 million instruments.

18. Oh, I missed my entrance...oops.

Psh, I'll totally get it next time.

19. Andddd that was an accidental that I did not play.

20. Oh here's the hard part...this is it...this is how I die.

21. Alright that wasn't horrible.

I can be proud of that.

22. Another musical pun. Good.

23. Could you maybe get it together clarinets?

24. WILL THIS REHEARSAL EVER END?!

My fingers are definitely bleeding.

25. Wow, rehearsal went by so quickly today!

gossip girl

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

As frustrating and annoying as it can be, being a girl is really awesome. We are beautiful inside and out. Not a lot of people may see that, but girls have a ton of amazing qualities.

We have unique flirting skills.

Us girls have a significant way to flirt with other people. Even when we say the most random or awkward things, we have a way of making everything sound cute and planned. It’s just a gift; we’re good like that.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
