Things that you should always carry with you

Whether it’s your purse, wallet, backpack, or satchel, you should always be well stocked!

Cash – as tempting as it may be, don’t spend it. You’ll need it one day.
Tissues
Hand sanitizer -the world is full of gross things
Hand cream
Chapstick or lip balm
Pens - if you need to sign a check, or someone asks for your autograph
A notebook
A water bottle – stay hydrated!
A photo ID
Earbuds – to act like a shield when you’re in public
Snacks – to prevent getting hangry
Sunglasses – for always, all the time
Gloves/ a small umbrella – *depending on the season
Hair elastics – you can never have enough.
Bobby pins – *see number 14
Gum or breath mints
Bandages – when you get blisters on your heels
House keys
A compact mirror – in case there is food in your teeth
Condoms – hey, you never know!
Tampons – in case someone asks you for any
USB flash drive
A spare cellphone charger
Nail clippers or nail files – to prevent catching on things and ripping it all the way off
A small coin purse for change and receipts – so that they don’t all float at the bottom

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
