Endicott College, located in Beverly, Massachusetts, is known for its beautiful beaches, one-of a kind internship program, and its student body that bleeds blue and green. Whether you're new to the campus in the fall or an upper classman that knows the in's and out's of campus, here are the top 25 things you hear at Endicott College.

1. "Gull hard or go home."

Our mascot is a Gull...we make the most of what we got.

2. "Don't mess with my flock."

Again, our mascot is a bird. What else do you want us to chant?

3. "I lost my GullCard."

The GullCard is considered your life at Endicott. This magical card allows you access into dorms, as well as other buildings around campus, and more importantly grants you entrance into the dining hall. Fortunately, I have only lost one GullCard (RIP), but I know plenty of other people who are on their 5th card. Once you can't forgot/can't find your card it is instant panic mode.

4. "Are you going to Doc's BBQ tonight?"

What other school can say that they have BBQ's at their president's house down the street. Oh, we are the only one...? That's what I thought. If you don't attend at least one BBQ in the Fall or Spring, do you even go to Endicott?

5. "Want to get lodge tonight?"

Craving Mozzarella sticks, french fries, or chicken tenders? Lodge is the place for late night guilty pleasures. Looking for a place to go on Friday or Saturday nights? You will find most of the student-body hanging out here.

6. "I hate the LSB stairs."

Especially when they haven't been shoveled off.

7. "Why is it so hot in the AC?"

I mean it's called the AC, right? Why not put some AC in the building...

8. "I had to park in overflow."

Parking is a sore subject for everyone who has a car on campus.

9. "Wait, there's free food at Gully's?"

Read the signs in Lower Callahan. We have at LEAST one event every week, if not more, with free food. Take advantage of it! (And bring some Tupperware!)

10. "I saved you a seat in the library."

You can it's finals week when there are no spots in the library. It's good to know people who can hook you up with a spot.

11. "Tupper or Winthrop Beach?"

It's a tough choice...

12. "The geese were in my way this morning."

"Ugh I had to take the long way to class today because the family of geese were taking up the whole path"

13. "It's a great day to be a Gull."

Personally my favorite motto because...it's always a great day to be a Gull!

14. "Sorry can't, BINGO is tonight."

Endicott students take BINGO night VERY seriously. I mean who doesn't want to win cool prizes!

15. "I just ordered Prides."

"Endicott is the reason that Pride's is still open."

16. "My flex ran out this morning."

It's always a sad day when you can't buy that smoothie in the AC Cafe because you spent it all at the Lodge last weekend

17. "I fell into the pond."

"Which pond?"

18. "The Mac & Cheese line was too long."

19. "Gulls just want to have fun."

Give us some credit, it's a clever saying...and very true!

20. "I love Dennis!"

Here's a tip for all incoming Freshman...get to know Dennis. He is the man that will greet every single student who walks into the Callahan. His positive attitude, and the smile on his face is the reason why everyone loves Dennis. If you hear him singing over the loud speaker, don't worry that's normal.

21. "The housing process has screwed me over again."

"You can't live with this person because you have more than 8 credits than them." Don't get your hopes up of getting your first choice in housing. Chances are you will get screwed over by Res Life just like the rest of us.

22. "Today should have been a snow day."

If you are contemplating not doing that homework assignment because you are counting on a snow day? Don't. We live in New England. We are always prepared so that school won't be cancelled.

23. "We need a Dunkin' on campus."

I mean, come on! It's a New England staple!

24. "Anything good at Callahan?"

Don't count on having a five-star meal. Chances are you will be having the same thing you had for lunch that day.

25. "I don't want to graduate."

After the last four years of being a Gull, it's hard to come to terms that college is over, and it's now time to be an adult.

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. 5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
