It's a typical Friday night. After changing at least 10 times, you finally put on your best outfit, apply multiple forms of heat to your hair and perfectly contour your face just to walk into a smoky, (probably trashed) frat house. This is college though, am I right? That is what we live for after all: getting hit on by random college guys that will have no memory of you the next day or the 10 other girls they talked to.
At the end of the night, we walk back to our dorms, sometimes satisfied of the night. Other times, though, just a little bummed because that guy you really like thinks that your best friend is "hotter" or that the girl across the room in little-to-no clothing is "better."
Why do girls feel the need to impress so often? Why do we strive to be "the hot one" or "the sexy one" knowing that it just attracts the wrong guys and the wrong attention. We complain about not getting the "right" attention, but what kind of attention do you really expect whenever you walk up to a party in a "shirt" that could pass for one of Victoria's Secrets very sexy bras?
Stop trying so hard to attract a guy for one night, and instead strive to be someone you, and everyone else, can be proud of.

Be yourself. Be who you want to be. Love passionately. Live fearlessly, and don't ever let anyone make you think that you are just that "hot" girl.
