This one's for you, Dad. You put up with a lot to say the least.

1. "Who do you want to win this game?"

2. "I need your advice."

3. "Why is my car making that noise?"

4. "Just don't tell mom."

5. "Are you grilling tonight?"

6. "So I think I want a big wedding; just warning you."

7. *Watching sports: "Wait what just happened?"

8. "Can I have your credit card info? It's just for textbooks..."

9. *Insert complaint about siblings: "You're on my side, right?"

10. "Who are you voting for?"

11. "Let's watch Bridesmaids."

12. "What are your thoughts on getting another dog?"

13. "Yes, he's my boyfriend."

14. "Yes, he treats me well."

15. "Yes, he knows you will kill him if he doesn't."

16. "Eh, lets just go out to eat instead."

17. "I think I'm broke. Am I?"

18. "Still wearing those Crocks, huh?"

19. "Do you want the rest of this? I'm full."

20. "Can you fix this?"

Thank you for making me laugh. Thank you for the random phone calls and FaceTimes and for being my best friend. Thank you for standing up for me even when I was wrong, and thank you for getting me back on my feet when I fell.

Your hard work goes often too unnoticed, so I hope you know how loved and appreciated you are. As the years pass and we both get older, understand that I wouldn't be the woman I am today without you and your constant support. Even though you no longer change my diapers, attempt to put my hair in a ponytail, pick me up from gymnastics, or coach my softball team, please know that one thing hasn't changed: I'm still your little girl.

Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home.
