It takes a special woman to be called Mom. You hear the laughter, crying, and complaining, yet you love me regardless. Although I am in my 20s now, I find myself needing you more and more. I'm sure the list could go on and on, but here are just a few of the many phrases you're still hearing from me.
1. "How do I thaw this chicken?"
2. "Yes, mom. Still single."
3. "Want to go to Starbucks?"
4. "Literally the whole class failed."
5. "I'll pay you back."
6. "What's for dinner?"
7. "I need my Social Security number."
8. "Dad said no, but what do you think?"
9. "Is this see-through?"
10. "Excuse my language but ..."
11. "I'm at the grocery store. Where's the (insert item here)?"
12. "Can I borrow this?"
13. "How do I wash something that says 'dry clean only'?"
14. "Let's watch 'American Idol.'"
15. "Does it feel like I have a fever?"
16. "Are you sure you can turn right on red?"
17. "I need a haircut. Bad."
18. "What's a 401K? Do I need one?"
19. "Let's go for a walk."
20. "Does this count as presentable?"
21. "Like how did you actually give birth?"
22. "Can you please come with me to my appointment? I'm scared."
23. "Do you think he's cute? Be honest."
24. "Mom, you can't zoom in on Instagram."

Mom, you're a superhero. You're the superhero among superheroes. You've been there for it all: my first steps, first day of school, first heartbreak and everything in between. You cheered for me even when I was losing, then held me when I did. Out of all the phrases and sayings I have, the most important one is, "Thank you."
Thank you for all you do and all you are. I only hope that one day I can be the mom to my kids that you are to me. I wish there was another way to show you how much I appreciate all you do, but for now, I'll show you by loving you unconditionally and by reminding you that even though I'm getting older, I'm still your baby girl.
