Christmas Christmas time is here.

Time to do everything and nothing at the same time. Spending time with family, eating lots of food, sleeping. It's the best time of the year. Literally.

Here's 25 things y'all should do during your break (and also 25 things I really want to accomplish myself):

1. Catch up on sleep

You made it! You survived the semester! Get some rest. Catch some zs. I'm pretty sure you don't need me to tell you that lmao.

2. Eat good food

Is your momma cooking it? Eat it lol. Eat some good food. Eat every home cooked meal you can get your hands on. Food fuels your life.

3. Spend time with family

Please enjoy this picture of The Obama's. Spend time with your fam. It's that time of year.

4. Clean your room

My room is not really that bad. Honestly, I'm pretty excited to spend a day cleaning it. Put on some good music and do the dang thing.

5. Buy gifts for your loved ones

The gifts don't have to be expensive or anything fancy. It's the thought that counts. When you give a gift, make sure it's from the heart and that you put lots of thought into it!

6. Treat yo self

Do I even have to explain? Go into Ulta. Buy that makeup you don't need. You survived the semester. Treat. Yo. Self.

7. Pay your bills

PAY YOUR BILLS. OH MY GOD. JUST PAY THEM LOL.

8. Catch up on your favorite show

Not caught up on Greys? Now's your chance!!! It only took me like half a day to do it. You've got all break. Take your time and enjoy every moment of doing nothing.

9. Start a new show

My friend Hannah really wants me to start watching Parenthood. Everyone should start a show they've been putting off. Now you've got time to do it!

10. Watch Moana

IF YOU TAKE NONE OF MY ADVISE BUT THIS ONE, YOU WILL BE LIVING YOUR BEST LIFE. MOANA IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE AND YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT.

11. Have a Christmas party

Have a party. A Christmas party! Honestly, Christmas parties are the best parties. I love using canva for all my social media, poster, and invitation needs lol.

12. Plan/go to a New Years party

Christmas parties are the best, but New Years parties are the second best. I love them so much. Go to one, or plan your own. Take this time to spend with your friends!

13. Buy a cute outfit for said parties

The point of this post is to get you to go shopping (lol not really). I doubt you need me to tell you to go shopping, but getting a new outfit always makes me feel like a new woman.

14. Get coffee with friends

Coffee? Friends? What more could you ask for? I love catching up with my friends over coffee. It's how I do all my best talking and thinking.

15. Get your stuff together

Get it together. Get your life in order. Girl, it is time. You better get your life!!!

16. Get a haircut

Maybe y'all don't need one, but I DO. My hair needs to be cut. My ends are terrible omg.

17. Go out to eat at a new restaurant

FOOD IS LIFE. Go to a restaurant you've been wanting to try (and tip your waiter nicely).

18. Read a good book

READ A BOOK. FOR FUN. Y'all know I'm about to be chilling by the fire with a good book and some hot chocolate. Don't play.

19. Go to gym (at least once)

Gotta keep those legs toned, y'all. But seriously. Don't wait until next year. Live in the moment. Eat what you want, and then go to the gym.

20. Call your grandparents

They might not hear you. They might not even understand the words you're saying. Hell, you might not even know what they're saying, but you need to call them. If your grandparents (or any family for that matter) are still alive, you should call them. They love you and miss you, and they won't always be here. Cherish them while you can.

21. Do something nice for someone else

My favorite way to do something nice is to provide words of affirmation. You could do a gift or a random act of kindness, or anything really. 'Tis the season for being a kind person (you should be all the time, but y'all get the point).

22. Go to bed without setting an alarm

Other than the home cooked meals, this is my favorite part of being home. NO ALARM. NO PROBLEM.

23. Listen to some new music

Artists really like to release music during this time of year, so you should expand your musical horizon and listen to something new. There's like 80 different streaming services, so you can get new music pretty cheap (or ask for an iTunes gift card for Christmas).

24. Get ready for the next semester

I know it's painful to think about, but next semester will be here sooner than you think. Take this time to mentally prepare yourself for the hell you're about to endure. Get your body and your backpack ready to get back in there and get your education.

25. Make New Years resolutions..and stick to them

I've always been on the fence about making New Years resolutions. Some people say that they're stupid, but I think having goals is a good way to start the year. However, make resolutions that you can actually stick to. If you want to go to the gym more, don't say you'll go to the gym 5 times a week if you don't go at all right now. You're just setting yourself up for failure. Start small and work your way up. Remember, you can do anything you set your mind to, but be realistic!!!

2017 is our year y'all!!!

All my love,

Shan

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
