Finals week is one of the most stressful times I've ever encountered in my life. No matter what I have done this week, final exams have been in the back of my head. The library is packed, and kids are sitting in the dining halls stuffing their faces with french fries and stuffing their faces in their textbooks. While I know my grades depend on this dreadful week, here are some things I would much rather be doing with my time than studying and testing all day.

1. Laying on the beach

2. Petting a kitten

3. Taking a nap

4. Reading an enjoyable book

5. Watching a funny movie

6. Eating a home-cooked meal

7. Baking a cake

8. Sitting by a fire with friends

9. Enjoying a concert

10. Hiking through the mountains

11. Cuddling with my pets at home

12. Catching up on much needed sleep

13. Shopping

14. Going on vacation

15. Laughing with friends

16. Watching Food Network

17. Cooking a meal for my friends

18. Eating a meal cooked by my friends

19. Eating ice cream outside of Kilwins

20. Exploring uptown

21. Eating at my favorite restaurant

22. Going on a cruise

23. Napping on the sand on a warm day

24. Sipping coffee outside my favorite local coffee shop

25. Napping on my hammock

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
