Some of us like dogs, some of us like dogs more than others, and if you don't like dogs, well- who am I kidding... who couldn't like man's (and woman's) best friend?! Below is a list compiled of all the crazy habits that lovers of pups everywhere can agree are universally recognized as a part of the dog-owning culture.

1. Your dog has thirty names and none of them are what it’s tag actually reads.

“Hey Shmoopy love muffin wrinkly winkle.”

2. When people say they don’t like dogs, you feel personally attacked.

Because how could anyone hate your pooch?

3. You have an album on your camera roll dedicated to the pics of your precious pup.

Just so you can show them to people more easily.

4. Seeing that fuzzy face is what you look forward to most when coming home from college or a long day.

Because they have the most visceral reaction to seeing you.

5. You have their birthday marked in your calendar.

6. Your hardest goodbye when you left for college was with your dog.

7. Your Snapchat story is 100 seconds of your dog doing nothing.

8. Doing the universal baby talk when you hold conversations with your pooch.

9. You can admit other dogs are cute, but none compare to your little one.

10. When your parents say no to giving the dog food but you sneak them some anyway.

11. You’ve kissed your dog more times than any other human ever.

My boyfriend will never replace my dog.

12. Speaking gibberish to your dog so you can watch them do the head tilt.

13. Making your dog spend time with you in the bathroom.

Because you don’t want to be alone and you need some quality time together.

14. Praising them for being the most intelligent thing to ever walk the Earth when they sit for you on command.

15. Being extra quiet so you don’t wake your dog up from its nap.

It gets pretty hard when they sleep all the time.

16. Trying to act mad at them, which only lasts for for like .25 seconds.

Who can stay angry at such an adorable face?

17. Trying to get your dog to reenact that cute thing they did a minute ago for a picture.

“LOOK AT THE CAMERA!”

18. Forcing them to take naps with you.

19. Begging for forgiveness when you step on your puppy’s foot.

20. Making them stand on two feet.

“You are people now.”

21. The ration of how little space you have on your bed versus how much room they do is remarkable.

22. You’ve made an Instagram post in their honor.

Or two, or three…

23. Your parents text you pictures of the funny things your dog does.

24. Their irrational fears of thunder or pools only makes you love them more.

25. Lastly- you get more upset when a dog dies in a movie than a person.

Don’t ever watch ‘Marley and Me’.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
