It's no lie when we brag about our childhood and how much better it was than today's generations. It was better. Things were easier, and although more hightech now, our gadgets were still way cooler. I decided to put together a short list of things to show this generation what they missed out on.

1. AIM

Sitting by the computer all day just to talk to friends, even though you just spent all day with them at school. AIM was the spot.

2. Bill Nye the Science Guy

Although we questioned his sanity, when we saw a TV in class we knew this guy was gonna give us the best class day. This guy taught us all we needed to know about science.

3. Dreaming about being slimed

This generation sees it as gross, we see it as some of the most epic moments on TV and always wished it was us covered in the green grossness.

4. Overalls

Somewhat uncomfortable, but also convenient. Everyone owned a pair.

5. Paper Fortune Tellers

These could tell your whole future in just a couple wrist flicks and switches.

6. Razrs

These were the iPhones of our time. The coolest phone you could have, next to the Sidekick of course.

7. Tamagotchis

There's no argument that these were and always will be the coolest toys ever.

8. Radio Ringtones

The struggle was real back in the day. Mom and Dad wouldn't let us buy ringtones. Our only option? Recording them from the radio and making them ourselves.

9. Note Passing

Biggest fear was getting caught doing this, not texting in class.

10. Original Gameboys

Yeah the ones they have now are super cool and 3D or whatever but these were still just as good.

11. Furbys

Beyond creepy, yet everyone had one.

12. Not being able to talk on the phone if someone was on the internet.

This was the ultimate struggle. Yelling back and forth at your siblings to get off the phone so you could go on AIM. Yup. That was a thing.

13. MASH

Another way to tell your future. Both pretty accurate.

14. Nickelodeon Time Capsule

The things in this capsule, they'll never understand. Iconic moment in Nickelodeon history was putting this bad boy together. To be opened on April 30th, 2042. Get excited.

15. VHS Tapes

This is how we watched movies. Also how we made home videos. Super useful. If you can find something today to play them on you're lucky.

16. Blockbuster

This is where we went to go get those weird block things in #15. It was always one of the best places your parents could take you. Movies, video games, and candy.

17. Going through an awkward phase

It seems that no one in this new generation goes through an awkward phase. Well we did. Weird music, weird outfits, weird everything. Along with pictures we wish didn't exist.

18. Walkmans

The OG iPod

19. The struggle of losing one of these

20. Fear Factor

The grossest, yet most entertaining show ever.

21. Original TV shows...not the dumb spinoffs

They love the spinoffs but we know the originals were the best.

22. Good Music

Such a huge variety of different artists, and they all had great music. Way better than today's.

23. When Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen had their own movies

That's right they had movies. Claim they can't be in Fuller House, but have all these movies??? Excuses, excuses.

24. Strategically picking your top friends on Myspace

This was a struggle. You had to pick the right people, and make sure you didn't make anyone mad.

25. Good Cartoons

No argument here. We had the best TV.

This generation will never understand these things, glad I got to experience them.

Christmas Tree
History.com

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
