Well, friends Valentine's Day is upon us, the day we celebrate the love of significant other's more than usual. While this day is all about spoiling your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/it's complicated, sometimes it can get to be a little overwhelming and expensive, especially on a college budget. Well, dear reader, you are in luck: Here are 25 things better than a fancy Valentine's Day dinner.

1. A Cookout Tray with milkshake of choice

2. $1 fuzzy socks from Target

3. Actually, I am SO down for a Target Valentine's date

4. Their favorite Starbucks drink

5. Building a fort and watching all of your favorite movies

6. Ordering pizza (the special edition heart shaped one is bonus points)

7. A Webkinz- you can get a bunch and start a little Webkinz family

8. Cosmic Brownies

9. If you really want to show your girl you love her, get some hair ties, bobby pins, and makeup wipes. Best Bae Award right there.

10. Super Mario Kart with your favorite junk foods

11. Take $20 and go to as many fast food places as you can

12. INSOMNIA COOKIES (perfect if you and bae can't be together for Valentine's Day)

13. Go to a place to play with puppies or kittens

14. Make dinner together...

15. ... and dessert while you are at it

17. Get together with a some other couples or a bunch of friends and go out all together

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was).
