Praise the single life.

Love Affair With Fashion

It's 2016 and no girl needs a guy to make her happy. There are so many things in this world that fill that place, even the little things. Stop dwelling on the single life and appreciate some of the small thing for once.

1. Chocolate

It's not just for Valentine's Day. Chocolate is one of the best candies out there, it should be its own food group. Go out and buy yourself some chocolate, because why not?

2. Netflix

Forget Netflix and Chill. Get into bed with a bag of popcorn and Netflix it up with yourself. You can watch whatever you want at your own pace, perks!

3. Pizza

Ultimate comfort food.

4. Puppies

They are so cute and cuddly. Puppy trumps boyfriend every time.

5. Air Freshener

Nothing like some air freshener to brighten your day! Plus, no guy can smell like a tropical beach as well as your favorite air freshener.

6. Long Showers

Something about taking a long hot shower always puts me in a good mood. Take that time to yourself to relax and clean yourself of your worries.

7. Dance Parties

Dance it out.

8. Fuzzy Socks

They are like a warm puppy hug for your feet!

9. Warm Cookies

The smell, the taste, the smiles. A boyfriend can't beat a warm cookie.

10. Shopping

Boys hate it, girls love it. So take advantage of this.

11. New Jewelry

Do like the independent women do, "I buy my own diamonds and I buy my own rings."

12. Calling Your Mom

Long phone calls with mom are pretty much the highlight of any girls day.

13. Pajamas

The choice of clothing when you have nobody to impress.

14. Cat Videos

LOL

15. Movie Marathons

Equally as amazing as Netflix binging. I would suggest a DCOM or Harry Potter marathon for maximum happiness.

16. Adult Coloring Books

They are a lot more relaxing than you think.

17. Mani Pedis

No explanation needed.

18. Vacations

Escape reality and your thoughts by getting away for a while. It's a great time to lie on the beach and be alone.

19. Tanning

Goes with vacationing. You look good, you feel good. It's as simple as that.

20. GNO

Call the girls, grab a drink, have some fun. Nothing wrong with a random hookup if thats where your night ends.

21. Messy Hair

Messy hair don't care. Who's gunna judge?

22. Jennifer Lawrence

She's the real bae.

23. Spontaneous Car Rides

Something thats always better when its just you and your girls.

24. F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

It's all about the friends.

25. Girl Friends

Hoes before bros.

You know it.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
