25 Reasons To Cry It Out

Sometimes life hits us with something that brings up emotions that only tears can fix. Crying is often associated with being "weak," a "baby," or perhaps, "overly emotional." Producing tears just means that you are human. It means that you are capable of reacting to your emotions. Whether you have a reason or not, everyone needs a good cry once in awhile. I will even admit to opening up YouTube for a soldier returning home, or a classic engagement video, for some tear inspiration. It might be the smallest thing that will bring out the tears you've been holding back for awhile. But now it is time to let it go. If you have already triggered the emotions, or you need a little help from YouTube, here are 25 reasons to go ahead, grab a tissue box, and begin your sobfest.

1. It is cathartic.

2. It shows that you truly care about something.

3. It proves that you are not a robot.

4. Tears are not always sad.

5. It feels good to feel something.

6. It means that you carry depth.

7. It brings you in tune with your emotions.

8. The puffiness adds a collagen-like look to your face.

9. You will receive sympathy.

10. It is a reminder that you are alive.

11. It is less painful than hitting something.

12. Or straining your vocal cords.

13. It reminds you that you deserve a weekend getaway.

14. Those you can cry in front of are people you can trust.

15. You are letting go of water weight.

16. It is detoxifying.

17. It brings up other emotions or thoughts you have suppressed.

18. It is humbling.

19. It actually lowers stress.

20. It is emotional cleansing.

21. It helps us see better.

22. It is a reason to eat some chocolate.

23. And some pizza. And anything else in sight.

24. Tears make your eyes look brighter.

25. It just simply feels great.

Now I am not saying that every minor situation deserves a heavy flow of tears (cue Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River")....Because uncontrollable bawling women are not always so easy to deal with, and constantly sobbing men are not always the most attractive, but everyone deserves to let go and just feel.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
