25 Places To Go Before You Turn 25

Facebook is littered with them: your cousin's amazing trip to Europe, your sorority sister's trip to Guatemala. I've drooled over my laptop flipping through tropical hikes and European water ways, dreaming of all the places I have yet to go. Over time I compiled a list of all the trips I want to take, but there are a select few that I want to take before I turn 25. These are the true, blue, beautiful trips to take before becoming an official adult.

1. Rome

Rome is a classic stop on a European tour. You'll meet people in your hostel, travel with friends and have a great time exploring the eternal city. It truly is what dreams are made of.

2. Santorini

The classic white houses, turned toward the ocean make this the perfect setting for a vacation. However, right now, it may not be the best place to visit because of their shaky financial situation. This beautiful country will please the history buff, the artist and the writer.

3. Berlin

Berlin seems to be a city where the old meets the new. It was a city divided in political conflict that holds a large chunk of European history.

4. Istanbul

Between the Hagia Sophia, the beautiful panoramic views and the ocean laid out before you, who could want more?

5. Paris

One of the most visited European cities, Paris stands alone in its easy access to art, history and culture.

6. Saint Petersburg

This city used to be one of the homes to the Russian Tsars. It has beautiful brightly colored building and holds some of the oldest parts of Russian history.

7. London

London, the early seat of European power, has inspired the likes of Shakespeare, Joseph Conrad and even Bill Bryson. This city holds endless creativity and aspirations within its historic buildings.

8. Hong Kong

Though polluted, this city holds an interesting cross between European and Chinese culture. It also holds some of the best shopping in Southern China.

9. Venice

The city on the Lagoon is another popular destination in Italy. To gently glide down the canals and wind your way through tiny streets and back alleys. You can discover new things around every corner and also street vendors.

10. Shanghai

This is one of the most high tech, modern Chinese cities well worth the trip.

11. Moscow

This heart of Russian power holds so much culture, art, and beauty.

12. Verona

Verona is most famous for being the home of Juliet. Much of downtown is closed off to cars, allowing for pedestrians to meander the historic streets and wax poetic like Shakespeare.

13. Beijing

The Forbidden city, the Great Wall of China and the Summer Palace are all part of this historic city.

14. French Riviera

This beautiful area of France includes such cities as Monaco. The beautiful beaches, resorts and meandering streets make this area the play ground of the rich and famous, and those who dare to go.

15. Swiss Alps

One word: skiing. There is also hiking, rich history and perhaps a singing nun or two hiding in a mountain valley. This beautiful area truly has some of the best skiing.

16. Ometepe Island

This Island, situated in the middle a massive fresh water lake is tropical and full of animals and wild life. This Island is very poor and there are many opportunities for community service.

17. Roatan

This tropical Island off the coast of Honduras is one of the best places for scuba diving in the Caribbean. It is also one of the best places to find a whale shark.

18. Missoula

In our own dear United States, this city sits on the western side of Montana. This valley is up and coming, and hosts such famous guests as Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Hank Green.

19. Sydney

This city, besides being the home of P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney, is also one of the best cities in Australia. Ignore all terrible poisonous creatures you can find on the Internet and go have a good time scuba diving and possibly hugging a koala.

20. Anchorage

Also located in the United States, Anchorage is home to a beautiful national park and some of the best outdoor adventures in the U.S.

21. Yucatan Peninsula

The Yucatan used to be the home to so many ancient peoples. It still boasts a plethora of Mayan and Aztec ruins and beautiful jungles. They also have beautiful underground rivers that can be explored by a adventurous cave diver.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
