25 Must See Places In Colorado

Colorado is, in my opinion, one of the best states in the US. It is beautiful during all seasons and is listed as the fourth happiest state in the nation. And this is a title rightly deserved.

There is a lot to do and a lot to see.

With there always being something to do here—whether you are exploring Downtown Denver or adventuring around in Grand Junction—you always find something that will catch your eye.

The numerous things range from hiking a ‘fourteener’ to enjoying all that the nightlife has to offer. And on top of all of the activities, there is a multitude of restaurants around to try as well. So here are 25 places that you must visit when in Colorado no matter the season and no matter if you’re a native to a state or just visiting.

1. Lookout Mountain

2. Casa Bonita

The hike to get to Hanging Lake is killer but the view is so utterly worth it.

13. Voodoo Doughnut

One special and delicious donuts shop that is open 24 hours. There donuts range from classic glazed to "bacon maple bar doughnut".

14. The Incline

About 2,000 steps to the top but it is one workout you'll never forget

15. Vail

Home to one of the many ski resorts that reside in Colorado that is talked about religiously. Plus it isn't just home to skiing, Vail has many places to golf, hike or fish during those warm months.

16. White Water Rafting in Buena Vista

White Water rafting is a must do. Not only is it a good workout but it gives people a chance to see some of what the great state of Colorado offers

17. Rocky Mountain National Park

A place that I can't get enough of. It's nature in it's purest form.

18. Turquoise Lake

Residing within the Rocky Mountain National Park and off of the Sugar Loaf Damn, it is one beautiful lake that is a great camping site.

19. Downtown Boulder

Boulder is one great town that is home to many people both college students and non college students. It is home to hiking trails, small shops and great restaurants.

20. The Great Sand Dunes

I don't recommend going on a windy day but it is a ton of fun to roam around in the sand for a while.

21. Botanical Gardens

It is basically like one large garden. It is home to some of the most beautiful plants and flowers. And now also home to some amazing sculptures that go with the gardens.

22. Denver Biscuit Company

These are the best biscuits you will ever have. Trust me.

23. Pikes Peak

An amazing view with amazing hiking trails.

24. Park Meadows Mall

One of the best malls ever. It's not even called a mall, it's called a resort!

25. Forsythe Canyon

It might not seem like much from the picture but Forsythe Canyon is one hike that you shouldn't miss. And the view is definitely picture worthy from any angle.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.
