Perhaps you remember that great little gem, "30 Rock?" Tina Fey, Tracy Jordan, Alec Baldwin? Ring any bells? Well if you clicked on this article, you're most likely already a fan of this sorely missed show. With seven seasons under its belt, this show followed the life of Liz Lemon, a head writer for TGS (The Girlie Show) which was a comedy sketch show for NBC. Although both the show and Liz had some struggles, both always managed to make it back on top. 30 Rock was loved by the critics and in 2009 was even nominated for 22 Primetime Emmy Awards! Unfortunately, while it was critically acclaimed and won many awards, the show always seemed to struggle with ratings. Which is crazy! This show is brilliant in so many different ways! But perhaps the show's greatest achievement was the character Liz Lemon. This woman is an inspiration to all, and I can only hope to be her one day. As a remembrance of this fantastic show, here are 25 life lessons that Liz Lemon can provide.

1. Talking about things with someone can help

2. Learn to be creative (or crazy), because it might pay off one day

3. Learn to know when you're in danger

4. Learn to master the eye roll so people can know how much you truly don't care

5. Find a hobby that fulfills you

6. Love your body

7. Get in touch with yourself and know who you are, because it will make life easier

8. Have high standards when it comes to dating; don't sell yourself short

9. People always appreciate great life advice

10. Know how to properly deal with your stress

11. It's good to know where your priorities are in life

12. Assert yourself, otherwise people might get lazy and forget their job

13. Stand up for yourself and don't let others bully you

14. Say "Yes" to opportunities more often

15. Stop spending so much and start saving more, maybe make a budget or open a savings account

16. Learn how to be more empathetic and loving for when people need you

17. Be more efficient

18. Really value yourself (like really value yourself)

19. Get a pet because they can be so entertaining

20. Religion is good for the mind and soul

21. Make sure your friends know you love them by taking care of them and being concerned for their health

22. Have a good sense of fashion and what does or doesn't work for you

23. It's good to have high morals

24. Don't get angered quickly or say something you might regret

25. Self-confidence is key; it's all about finding what you lie about yourself

Well this article has come to a close and I know what you're thinking-

But if you're already starting to miss Liz (and maybe the rest of the 30 Rock gang) and her valuable life lessons then you can do what I'm about to. Curl up on the couch with my night cheese and some pizza (and maybe a sandwich just in case) and binge watch 30 Rock because all seven seasons are on Netflix just waiting to be appreciated and enjoyed.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
