I have a lot of thoughts as an 18 year old... and here are 25 of them:

1. Laughter is the best type of medicine for ANY type of sickness.

2. Always forgive. Would you rather live in a world of hatred or live in a world of grace?

3. Pet as many dogs as you can. They relieve stress and give good kisses.

4. Explore new music genres even if you think you hate them.

5. If you are ever faced with a choice. Flip a coin. While flipping the coin, you'll realize which one you really want.

6. Love is not always the easiest thing to do... Sometimes you gotta work hard for it.

7. Do not wake up every morning trying to plan every second of every day. You'll drive yourself bananas. Instead, wake up. Take a deep breath and see what life has in store for you.

8. Just have common sense.

9. If someone is in need and you are able to help, make sure you put their needs before your own.

10. Sometimes all someone needs is a hug.

11. Do not be scared to open up to someone. Stop being emotionally isolated.

12. Be. Your. Self.

13. Go on as many adventures as you are able to.

14. You are never too busy for something or someone, you just need to see where your priorities are.

15. Smile at the person walking the down the street you do not know. You will probably make their day.

16. Find your best friend(s) and keep them around as long as you can.

17. Make sure you do what makes you happy. Do not have a job that makes me unable to enjoy your day.

18. Listen more, speak less.

19. Use cheesy pick up lines.

20. Be loud and over outgoing. Make people wonder if you're on drugs but really, you are just high on life.

21. Having 20 seconds of pure outrageous courage can lead to some of the best stories, memories and life long golden thoughts.

22. Kiss that boy or girl you really like.

23. Tell your family you love them.

24. Get tattoos that really mean something to you and don't worry about what other people think.

25. Understand not everyone is bad and out to get you. Know that there are people in this world who are full of love, laughter, and grace. Go out and find them.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
