I'm going to Walt Disney World in less than a month, which inspired me to write this article!

Even though I am a twenty-something-year-old adult, I've found it's okay to release your inner child every once in awhile. Some people may think I'm crazy for enjoying Disney movies as much as I do but you can learn so much from the Disney Characters!

So here are just a few things I have taken away from some of my favorite Disney movies!

1. We Need to Read More

Belle loved to read and everyone in her village thought she was "a beauty but a funny girl" and she also did not think she fit in with everyone else. But that didn't stop her from doing what she loved, reading.

2. Give Everything you do 110%!

Yeah, life can be hard. School sucks sometimes, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be giving it our all... Just like Tiana! She worked hard every day to make her dreams a reality.

3. Be Kind!

We should all learn to be kind, just like Cinderella. She was kind to everyone, even her evil stepmother, and stepsisters, that didn't deserve her kindness...

4. Try and See the Best in Everyone

It's always good to have faith and try to see the best in everyone, just like Snow White. She tried to see the best people, even the evil queen and the evil queen in disguise as this crazy old lady, who gave her a poison apple...

5. Never Give Up

Mulan is a great example of never giving up!!! She was literally a girl living in a man's world and broke a lot of barriers to defeat the ultimate enemy for the greater good.

6. Family is so Important!

Lilo and Stitch are the perfect example of family doesn't always mean that you have to share DNA with someone. But also Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind... or forgotten!

7. Don't Judge Others too Quickly

I love Beauty and the Beast! So many lessons to learn from this movie!!! But obviously you shouldn't judge someone based on their appearances, because it's what on the inside that counts the most!

8. Try New Things

Do what Rapunzel did and dip your toes in the grass! Take chances and try new things, eat at The Snuggly Duckling and find your inner princess! Make every day the Best Day Ever!!!!!

9. Fight for What You Care About

Everyone should fight for what they love. Pocahontas fought for her people, her homeland and John Smith, all things she cared deeply about.

10. Your Dreams Matter

Ariel wanted legs and to experience new things and learn about different cultures. No matter what her father and sisters and even Sebastian told her, she put her dreams first and chased them. She found love and her voice... literally.

11. Embrace Your Inner Child

The ultimate child... Peter Pan, there's a child inside all of us. And sometimes it's okay to believe in silly things and act like a child every once in awhile.

12. Be Brave!

Merida wanted to choose her own destiny and she fought hard to ensure that... We should all strive to have that same fight inside all of us.

13. Be Your Own Hero

You can be your own hero, just like Hercules. Work hard just like he did and make sure you surround yourself with a great support system.. having a horse with wings wouldn't hurt either!!

14. Lying Gets You Nowhere

Pinocchio is the perfect example... Lying gets you nowhere... So just don't do it!

15. The Past is in the Past

Rafiki said it best, yes the past can hurt, but you can either run from it, or learn from it...

16. It's Okay to be Different

Dumbo is one of my favorites! Everyone made fun of him because of his abnormally large ears but he finally accepted the fact he looks a little different from all the other elephants and used it to his advantage!

17. Embrace Being Unique

This kind of goes with the one above, Elsa hid who she truly was from basically everyone as she was growing up.. Even her sister...

18. It's Okay to be a Hopeless Romantic

All Anna wanted to do was meet the man of her dreams and fall in love. And honestly what's so wrong about that?? Everyone wants to be in love.

19. We're All a Little Mad, sometimes!

The Cheshire cat said it best, "we're all mad here"... and we can all definitely be a little mad on occasion.

20. Friends Come in all Shapes and Sizes

One of my favs! Friends come from all different backgrounds and sometimes you make friendships with people who are so different than you but make your world a little brighter... Just like Tod and Copper.

21. It's All About Perspective!

As long as you have a positive attitude towards life, things will all be okay! We're all basically practically perfect in every way... Just like Mary Poppins.

22. Be Adventurous!

If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me, one day I'll know, if I go there's just no telling how far I'll go... Go on adventures and be spontaneous, just like Moana did! It was scary but exciting for her all at the same time!

23. Don't Settle!

Jasmine came from a world of luxury and always dreamed of escaping and marrying for true love, not just because she had too. She stands up for what she wants and doesn't "settle" for just anyone. She fights for it and made her voice heard!

24. Live like the clock is about to strike midnight!

This is pretty self-explanatory.... Just like Cinderella only had till midnight, we should all try and live like that every once in awhile.

25. There's Magic in You

Just like Briar Rose/Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, she grew up alone not really truly knowing who she was and she always believed and saw the best/magic in herself!

I hope everyone feels inspired everytime they watch a Disney movie or visit the parks! We could all learn a thing or two from Disney movies and the characters!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
