I have NO shame when I say one of my favorite TV shows is Gossip Girl. From season one to season six, I have become an Upper East Sider and grown to love characters like my own friends. Like everyone who has watched the show, I was devastated when it ended (can we get a reunion, please?). Whether you are more of a Blair or Serena, a Chuck or Nate, you will appreciate this list of 25, but not all, lessons Gossip Girl taught us over the years.

1.

If there's one thing I learned from the characters in Gossip Girl that is if you want something, you go for it.

2.

Nothing hurts more than when two people are meant for each other but can't be together.

3.

You'll find someone who will love you the way Chuck loves Blair.

4.

Best friends are meant to see you at your worst and bring you back to your best.

5.

Nothing a little bubbly can't fix.

6.

Again, bubbly.

7.

Love yourself first. Always.

8.

Many come and go, but the one for you will always stay. Remember that.

9.

Broken hearts will need time to heal.

10.

You are worthy of much more than you expect.

11.

High expectations leave you with one thing: Disappointment.

12.

Surround yourself with people who only appreciate you.

13.

Sometimes what you need has been right there in front of you all along.

14.

Love is a great and powerful force.

15.

Even the best of friends can get in fights.

16.

People change. And that's okay. It's healthy to grow.

17.

No matter how hard we try or want it, things don't work out.

18.

Go ahead, its okay to be bitter and stay in from time to time. Treat yo self.

19.

We all hold on when we try to move on sometimes.

20.

Bettering ourselves is a constant battle. Don't give up on yourself.

21.

Fall down? Fine. Get right back up and stand tall.

22.

Swallow your pride and apologize. Be the bigger person no matter how hard it is.

23.

"I'm Chuck Bass" has become the best excuse there is.

24.

Not to mention Gossip Girl has (FINALLY) taught me who Gossip Girl is ;)

25.

And last but not least. You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
