Everyone has their demons. But they don’t have to define you. Whether you have a physical or mental illness, you can be an amazing leader and make a huge impact

You are the only person like you. Don’t try to fake something when in a leadership position, or even in life. People see through it and it makes people not trust you.

It can be hard to keep a good heart and do what is right. It may seem that although you are doing what is right, people who are not are getting more rewards, at the end of the day you will be better off.

8. Everything is not what it seems

You may think a situation has only one answer. You may think a choice is black or white. But it’s not. Always look deeper and always think before you make assumptions. Being a leader means you have to try to get all the information, so try to do your best.

9. Treat everyone as the same, no matter where they come from

Everyone has a story. As a leader, you must treat everyone the same. Every person deserves your respect. To be a good leader you need to treat your “inferiors” the same as you “superiors”

Being a leader means you will have some rough patches. Don’t give up because of something not working out in your favor. Being a leader means you learn from the past and know that it will work out.

Things will take a while. Being a leader isn’t something that happens over night. It is going take time. Wait for it.

It is really important for you to treat all the people in your life as equals, especially as a leader. No matter there status, no matter the look, no matter what treat everyone the same.

When things don’t go right as a leader you get the blame on you. Learn from it, grow from it and don’t let it be the things that define you. Move on and accept it.

21. Fight for what you believe in

As a leader, fighting for who you believe in is the most important thing. A leader sticks to what they believe in and if something they believe in needs to be fought for, they fight for it.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks.
