Every once in a while, the most annoying person in the entire world registers for the same class as you, and inevitably, you will be miserable for an entire semester.

I know that sounds dramatic, and maybe it is, but I’m currently in class with one of these annoying people and I’m truly suffering (please help me).

I don’t want to go to class.

I don’t want to look at him.

I plug my ears every time this child opens his mouth.

I’m at the end of my rope and this person’s got a knife.

However, one (and only one) good thing has bloomed from this awful situation: I now have first-hand experience and plenty of real-life examples to write this mediocre article.

So, here are the expressions you make when you’re in class with the most annoying person in the world.

(Disclaimer: I’m just reporting facts, but I’m going to preemptively apologize for being mean.)

1. When the annoying kid just won’t stop talking

2. When the annoying kid tries to be friends with you and you shut it down instantly

3. When the annoying kid tries to teach the teacher

4. When the annoying kid asks a “devil’s advocate” question for no real reason

5. When the teacher finally tells the annoying kid to shut up

6. When the annoying kid asks a question that prolongs the class

7. When the annoying kid eats something weird and crunchy and smelly during class

8. When the annoying kid tries to suck up to the teacher

9. When the annoying kid skips class

10. When the teacher asks a rhetorical question and the annoying kid actually answers it

11. When another classmate doesn’t realize how annoying the annoying kid is

12. When you have to complete a group project with the annoying kid

13. When the annoying kid answers a question loudly and incorrectly

14. When the annoying kid says something and you actually agree with him (but it hurts your soul)

15. When the annoying kid makes some sort of noise every few seconds just so the class doesn’t forget he exists

16. When you think the annoying kid skipped class but then he walks in late and all your dreams die

17. When another classmate calls the annoying kid out and you realize that not all heroes wear capes

18. When the annoying kid wears something truly heinous and you almost have to admire him for his courage to wear three different types of plaid

19. When the annoying kid gets the highest grade in the class and it goes straight to his head

20. When the class is cancelled but you accidentally see the annoying kid in the cafeteria

21. When the teacher sends the annoying kid on a special mission to the printer and the kid acts like Bilbo Baggins running out of the Shire

22. When the annoying kid makes eye contact with you

23. When you and your classmates grow closer due to a common enemy

24. When the annoying kid switches seats and is closer to where you sit

25. When you just learn to block it all out and be at peace

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
