Her Campus

The question comes up every year, what do you give up for lent? There's the stereotypical desserts, coffee, or cursing, but is that really helpful on a college campus? Instead, students should consider sacrificing some of these vices that we all seem to give into more often than we like to admit.

1. Skipping your 8 a.m. class

2. Making excuses for not going to the gym

3. Showing up to class hungover

4. Not responding to your mom's 10th text today

5. Breaking Snapchat streaks

6. Taking naps that last longer than your night of sleep

7. Taking naps in places other than your bed

8. Really just taking naps in general

9. Ordering in when you're too lazy to walk to the diner

10. Wearing the same clothes on Monday and Tuesday hoping you don't see the same people

11. Starting your paper the night before it's due

12. Posting 20 pictures on your Snapchat story every single time you go out

13. Watching videos of puppies instead of taking notes during class

14. Drinking more than 4 cups of coffee a day

15. Walking slower than a snail in between classes cause you're on your phone

16. Hitting the snooze button more than once

17. Leaving your laundry in the dryer for hours after it's done

18. Responding to a text 3 days later

19. Agreeing to take that "one last shot"

20. Taking the elevator when you live on the second floor

21. Letting your phone get to 3% before deciding to find a charger

22. Complaining you're broke then spending $40 on a night out

23. Sending an obscene number of gifs in group chats

24. Using dry shampoo instead of actually showering

25. Reading Odyssey articles instead of doing your homework
