Sometimes in life, you get thrown a number of curveballs that make you take a step back to reevaluate who you are and what you stand for. With that being said, I have compiled here a number of things I believe in. I hope that for those reading this, you'll be reminded too of the small things in life we forget to believe in.

1.) I believe in forehead kisses.

2.) I believe that the warmth from coffee/hot chocolate can warm your heart.

3.) I believe that some songs were written just for you.

4.) Also meaning, you find these songs right when you need them.

5.) I believe you're never too old for a new wardrobe.

6.) I believe, like they say in 'Sex and The City', your best friends are your true soulmates.

7.) I believe my family is truly the only group of people I really need.

8.) I believe movies and music are the most magical pieces of art that bring us together.

9.) I believe that good books were meant to be read near good smelling candles. They go hand in hand people!

10.) I believe fortune cookies are always meant to be taken seriously.

11.) I believe that theres nothing bad that can happen once you wrap yourself up in a soft blanket.

12.) I believe that hearts can only fully heal when you allow them to be held again.

13.) I believe that you find yourself only at your lowest points.

14.) I believe that music attacks hearts, which help us to change minds.

15.) I believe that you have the choice whether to remain broken or try again.

16.) I believe, more so I must remind myself that one no does not equal a thousand more no's.

17.) I truly believe that when God closes a door, he opens a window.

18.) I believe in forgiveness, and looking past what people have done and knowing they are who they will become.

19.) I believe that your feet will always take you as far as you need to go.

20.) I believe in car rides to the middle of no where.

21.) I believe in late night food runs, especially if its for chicken nuggets.

22.) I believe in vacations that are "just because".

23.) I believe that your education for life is not merely found in your textbook, but also in the people around you.

24.) I believe that your animals love you sometimes more than other humans can.

25.) And most importantly, I believe in me & all that I can do.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
