25 Awkward Moments We All Know Way Too Well

I don't know if it's just me, but life can be pretty awkward sometimes. I would consider myself an awkward person, so maybe these experiences only happen to people like me. But I am sure I am not the only one who has experienced every single one of these moments possibly on a weekly basis. But don't worry, I've heard things are only as awkward as you make them, right?

1. Waving at someone who isn't waving at you

2. When someone is at the awkward distance and you don't know if you should hold the door for them or not

3. Saying "you too" when the waiter says "enjoy your meal"

4. Saying goodbye to someone that actually is going to the same place as you, and then awkwardly walking in the same direction without talking.

5. Not knowing what someone said but not wanting to ask so you just nod and say yes

6. "How are you?" "Good how are you?" "Great how are you?"

7. Seeing someone you know from 200 feet away and not knowing when it's appropriate to engage in conversation but you don't want to stare at them for too long so you just wave awkwardly until they are close enough.

8. When your friend leaves the room and you're stuck with a person you don't know very well.

9. Way too long of a hug.

10. Not knowing if it's an appropriate time to hug someone or not.

11.The strange dance you do when you're trying to get past someone, but you keep going the same way.

12. Saying hey to someone but they don't hear you, so it was to no one.

13. In a group, you try to say something but everyone talks over you.

14. Or in a group you say something and there's no response so you just pretend like you didn't say anything.

15. When you accidentally touch someone's hand with your hand.

16. When you randomly just drool and have to quickly cover it up.

17. When you suddenly trip and you know a bunch of people saw it and then they saw you look around to see if anyone saw you trip.

18. When someone's zipper is down but you don't want to tell them because you'd have to explain why you were looking there in the first place.

19. When someone catches you staring at them.

20. That long awkward eye contact at stoplights.

21. Liking someone's Insta when you're 72 weeks deep.

22. The dreadful moment you push a pull door.

23. Accidentally calling your teacher, or any other women who did not birth you, Mom.

24. Accidental eye contact through the little crack in the bathroom stall.

25. And finally, accidentally saying, "bye, love you" to someone who is not a close friend or family member.

Well, it's been super awkward. Hope these moments happen a little bit less for some of you. For you awkward folk like me, just keep living your awkward, goofy, awesome lives, and accept all the awkward moments coming your way.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
